William J. Good, age 84 of DuBois, PA died Saturday, April 15, 2023 at his home.


Born on November 8, 1938 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Vincent and Helen (Sovich) Good.


William was a 1957 graduate of Sandy High School.


On June 27, 1964  he married Virginia (Sephalski) Good. She survives.


William was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.


He had worked at BF Goodrich and then the Riverside Warehouse, where he worked as a general merchandise foreman, retiring from there after many years of service.


William was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church where he had served as a Eucharistic Minister. William was very active in the St. Michael Polish Festival where he was in charge of the hot dog booth for many years. He was also a member of The Holy Name Society, Pulaski Club,  and the Polish American Veterans. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and Penn State wrestling and football fan, but especially enjoyed being with his  family.


William is also survived by his children (Julie Hassan and her husband Mike of DuBois, PA and Matthew Good of Erie, PA), grandchildren (Michael Hassan  and his wife Christa of Dormont, PA and Megan Hassan and her fiancé Kristian Larsen of Falls Church, VA), one great granddaughter (Raegan Hassan), and two brothers (John “Jack” Good and Robert Good and his  wife Denise both of DuBois, PA).


He was  preceded in death by one sister (Helen Ann Dillman).


Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 4 – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10 AM from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Charles Kaza and Msgr. Richard Siefer as con-celebrants.


Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.


Memorial donations may be made to Christ the King Manor, 1100 West Long Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801 and/or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
