Administrators Pompeii Posted June 28, 2023 Administrators Share Posted June 28, 2023 Barbara Ann Newell, Age 79 of DuBois, PA died Monday, June 26, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on March 3, 1944 in Ridgway, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Eleanor Gasbarre. On September 3, 1965, she married her husband of 57 years, Edward C. Newell. He survives. Barbara was a billing manager for Regional Obstetric Consultants in Jacksonville, Florida for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a graduate of Villa Maria College. Barbara was devoted to her family and treasured her time with them. She especially loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barbara is survived by four sons; Jonathan D. Newell & his wife Amy of Pittsburgh, PA, Stephen E. Newell & his wife Lesley of Jacksonville, FL, Michael B. Newell & his wife Miriam of Downingtown, PA, and Daniel R. Newell of DuBois, PA; six grandchildren, Shannon, Robert, Samantha, Megan, Christopher, and Daniel Newell, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Jayden, Wyatt, & Allison; and two brothers, Thomas Gasbarre & his wife Jennifer, and Louis Gasbarre & his wife Joyce. There will be no public visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
