Administrators Pompeii Posted August 7, 2023 Administrators Share Posted August 7, 2023 Marie R. Breznay, age 91 of DuBois, PA died Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on July 16, 1932 in Swoyersville, PA she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Bertha (Romantovich) Adamcheski. On December 10, 1966 she married Thomas G. Breznay. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2017. She had worked as a manager for the Percy A Brown Bakery Outlet for over 20 years. Marie was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and gardening. She is survived by one son (Bernard Breznay and his wife Donna of Duryea, PA, two grandchildren (Michael and Corissa Breznay) and two great grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by six siblings (Vincent, Andrew, Edmond, and Theodore Adamcheski, and Elizabeth Belcher and Florence Smith). Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 4 - 6pm at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 10 am from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Family, Inc.
