Administrators Pompeii Posted October 19, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 19, 2023 Marcella Catherine Orange, age 90 of Punxsutawney, PA, formerly of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Mulberry Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Punxsutawney, PA. Born on December 18, 1932 in St. Marys, PA, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Kathryn (Pindroch) Kerchinski. Marcella retired from Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney, PA as a housekeeper after many years of service. Previous to that, she had worked at the East End Laundromat. Marcella loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children (Larry Shema of Punxsutawney, PA, Linda Waddell and her husband John of DuBois, PA, Andrew Shema and his wife Lisa of Telford, PA, and Donna Raya Auguilera of Gloucester, VA), four granddaughters, three grandsons and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by one daughter (Betty Ann Shema Morris), one son (William J. Shema), one brother killed in action during the Korean War, (John Kerchinski) and one sister (Betty Kerchinski). There will be no public visitation. A Parastas will be prayed on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11 AM from The Nativity Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church with Father Vasyl Banyk officiating. Interment will take place in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
