Administrators Pompeii Posted October 19, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 19, 2023 Patrick G. Weaver, age 82 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on December 8, 1940 in Wandin, PA, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Mary I. (Burnheimer) Weaver, Sr. Patrick was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. On July 23, 1966 he married his wife of 57 years, Gayle L. (Walters) Weaver. She survives. Patrick retired from CSX after a 35-year career in the railroad industry. He was a member of both the Blue Lodge in Ebensburg and the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona for over 50 years. Patrick enjoyed being outdoors and especially liked hunting and fishing. He is also survived by his children (Brian Weaver and his wife Jennifer of Fayetteville, NC, Sonya Buckley of Atlanta, GA, Scott Weaver of Columbus, OH and Jason Weaver of DuBois, PA), eight grandchildren (Patrick, Tyler, Ethan, Emma, Nathan, Peyton, Ben and Luke), one great grandchild (Amaya), and siblings (Ken Weaver and his wife Sandy of Bellefonte, PA, Gary Weaver and his wife Diana, and Diana Horton and her husband Charlie both of Cresson, PA.) Patrick was preceded in death by two sisters (Wanda Burgan and Marilyn Gregg) and one brother (Harry E. Weaver, Jr.) Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM from the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
