Administrators Pompeii Posted October 29, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 29, 2023 Madelyn McAninch, Age 92 of DuBois, PA died Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Christ the King Manor. Born on November 6, 1930 in Sykesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Shulick) Rosman. On April 21, 1952, she married her husband of 71 years, Paul R. McAninch. He survives. Madelyn retired after 40 years of service as a packer from Brockway Glass. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in Sykesville. In addition to her husband, Madelyn is survived by two children; (Daniel T. McAninch and his wife Phyllis of DuBois, PA, and Denise A. Johnston and her husband Stanley of Big Run, PA), six grandchildren; (Krista (Matt) Hasselback, Nicole (Mike) Higgins, Janel Meholic, Melissa (Andy) Pentz, Tracy and Danielle Lolonde, Frances McAninch, and Cheston (Beth Ann) McAninch), six great-grandchildren; (Jaden, Skyler, Caden, Lilly, Riley, and Jameson), three brothers; (Michael, William (Arlene), and Robert (Nancy) Rosman) and three sisters (Eva Varacallo, Marcella Ferraro, and Patricia (Jack) Himes). She was preceded in death by her daughter; (Debra McAninch), a brother; (Steven Rosman), and five sisters; (Anna Filipich, Helen Brazaukus, Betty Hillman, Martha Breznak, and Marlene McKay). There is no public visitation. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. from Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church with Fr. Vasyl Banyk as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be placed with Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, 104 Shaffer St., Sykesville, PA 15865.
