Administrators Pompeii Posted December 8, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 8, 2023 Raymond V. Burnette, age 93 of DuBois, PA died Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Christ The King Manor. Born on July 17, 1930 in Aurora, IL, he was the son of the late Raymond V. and Kathryn (Heintz) Burnette, Sr. On June 21, 1955 he married his wife devoted of 68 years, Gwen M. Cunningham. She survives. Ray retired from Rockwell International Manufacturing after over 40 years of service. He was a member of the Episcopal Church Of Our Saviour where he was very active in church affairs, from serving on the vestry to mowing the grass until he was in his 80’s. Ray was an avid train collector and enjoyed the camaraderie with those in his local train club. He was a member of the Garfield Lodge #559, The Free and Accepted Masons and the Sharon Elks #103. Along with his wife, he is survived by his two sons (Raymond V. Burnette, III of Austin, TX and Michael S. Burnette of Norwalk, CT), and two nephews (James H. Cunningham of Pittsburgh, PA and Matthew S. Cunningham of Palm Springs, CA). Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4 – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 11 AM from the Episcopal Church Of Our Saviour with Father Timothy Kroh as celebrant. Interment will take place in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage, PA. Memorial donations may be made to Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, PO Box 503, DuBois, PA 15801.
