Pauling, Age 96 of DuBois, PA, formerly of West Chester, PA died Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on May 20, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late John & Emma (Ciaverelli) Guagenti. In April of 1948, she married Ned. B. Pauling and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1993. Cecilia was a homemaker and had worked at the Drexel Hill YMCA for over 10 years. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, and enjoyed reading, traveling, tending to her flowers, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Cecilia was an “organizer” and enjoyed planning events for family, friends, and charitable organizations. She is survived by three children (Kenneth B. Pauling and his wife Marie of Luthersburg, PA; John D. Pauling & wife Bernadette of Sewell, NJ, and Diane M. Mascitelli & her husband of Lincoln, University, PA), 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saints Peter and Paul Church, West Chester Pa. with Fr. Angelo Citino as celebrant. Burial will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. Memorials may be placed with The DuBois Area School Retirees Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 219 Luthersburg, PA 15848 and/or the DuBois Chapter of the American Red Cross, 109 West Brady St., DuBois, PA 15801. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc is in charge of arrangements.
