Administrators Pompeii Posted December 27, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 27, 2023 Christine H. Andrews, age 79 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on March 21, 1944 in Middlesex, CT, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Louise (Bailey) Hurst. Christine had obtained a Masters Degree and had worked as a counselor in the mental health field. Christine spent her career as a passionate advocate for children. Teaching and later counseling children from disadvantaged environments. She worked tirelessly to make children’s lives better. Christine loved nature and spent many years exploring the wonders of nature. She introduced children from the inner city to nature, taking them on hikes and sharing her love of nature with them. She is survived by one son (Matthew Andrews and his wife Marsha of Fort Washington, PA) and three grandchildren. There will be no public visitation. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
