Katherine Dvonne “Bonnie” Gontero, age 88, formerly of Weedville, PA died Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Highland View Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.


Born on April 7, 1935 in Weedville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clair and Dorothy (Timblin) McClintick.


On November 28, 1953 she married Donald R. Gontero. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1988.


Bonnie retired from Pure Carbon Company in St. Marys after 25 years of service in the  Molding and Inspection Departments.


She was a member of the Weedville Wesleyan Church where she attended Bible Study. She was also a Girl Scout assistant and enjoyed her flower garden.  Above all, she loved her family and cherished spending time with them.


Bonnie is survived by her children (Colleen Cunningham and her husband Lynn of DuBois, PA, Byron Gontero and his wife Darlene of Weedville, PA and Kristine Gontero of Vandergrift, PA ), her siblings (Lillian Krug of St. Marys, PA, Gladine Smith of Penfield, PA, Gary McClintick and his wife Loretta of Weedville, PA and Gordon McClintick of Ridgway, PA), 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by one daughter (Dawn Lee Gontero) and two brothers (Duane and Clair McClintick, Jr.).


Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. from the Weedville Wesleyan Church.


A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. from the church with Pastor Brian Kleppinger officiating.


Burial will take place in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Weedville, PA.


Memorial donations may be made to the Christian Food Bank, 817 S. Michael St., St Marys, PA 15857 and/or The Weedville Wesleyan Youth Group, 18945 Bennetts Valley Highway, Weedville, PA 15868.


The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
