Administrators Pompeii Posted February 19 Administrators Share Posted February 19 Kevin S. Huey, age 57 of DuBois, PA died Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on April 24, 1966 in Punxsutawney, PA, he was the son of the late Philip E. Huey and Darlene (Pifer) Huey. His mother survives and lives in Big Run, PA. He was a graduate of Jeff Tech. After graduation Kevin joined the Army National Guard and served in the Engineering Unit in Punxsutawney for 15 years. On August 28, 1994 he married Darlene M. (Harriger) Huey. She survives and lives in DuBois, PA. Kevin worked for the past 20 years as a delivery driver and material handler for Schwan’s. He enjoyed gardening, going to amusement parks with his kids and cooking on the grill. Kevin was also interested in Bushcraft. He is survived by his children (Bryant Rockwell of Brookville, PA, William Rockwell, Marjorie Rockwell and Kevin S. Huey, II all of DuBois, PA), five grandchildren (Jacob Woods, Dante Kuhn, Isabella, Landon and Aiden Rockwell), and one brother (Brian Huey of Big Run, PA). Kevin was preceded in death by two brothers (Jason and Randy Huey). Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 5 – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating. Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the funeral home. Burial will take place in St. Catherine Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
