Administrators Pompeii Posted March 1 Administrators Share Posted March 1 Carolyn S. Beatty, age 87 of DuBois, PA passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on December 8, 1936 in Dillon, MT, she was the daughter of the late Theron and Bernice (Jensen) Sargent. She married Fredric Beatty who preceded her in death on September 9, 2016. Carolyn was a graduate of Montana State University with a degree in education. Along with her husband, she was the owner/operator of multiple McDonalds franchises in Pennsylvania and New York. Carolyn had many hobbies and interests including golfing and needlework. She was also an accomplished pianist and was an avid dog lover. She is survived by her two sons (Joseph Beatty and his wife Lisa of Valencia, PA and Michael Beatty and his wife Diane of Springville, NY), six grandchildren (Joshua, Aaron, Sarah, Jessica, Jordan and Gregory), and eight great grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by one brother (Verle Sargent). There will be no public visitation and private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
