Administrators Pompeii Posted March 20 Administrators Share Posted March 20 Paul R. McAninch, age 93 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Christ the King Manor. Born on April 22, 1930 in Big Run, PA, he was the son of the late Glen and Edith (Hipchen) McAninch. On April 21, 1951 he married Madelyn (Rosman) McAninch. She preceded him in death on October 28, 2023. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army having service in the Korean War. Paul retired from Preston Trucking in West Middlesex and Falls Creek after many years of service. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in Sykesville and the Knights of Columbus Council 519. Paul is survived by two children; (Daniel T. McAninch and his wife Phyllis of DuBois, PA, and Denise A. Johnston and her husband Stanley of Big Run, PA), six grandchildren; (Krista (Matt) Hasselback, Nicole (Mike) Higgins, Janel Meholic, Melissa (Andy) Pentz, Tracy and Danielle Lalonde, Frances McAninch, and Cheston (Beth Ann) McAninch), six great-grandchildren; (Jaden, Skyler, Caden, Lilly, Riley, and Jameson), and 2 sisters (Donna Rishel and Evelyn Dinger). He was preceded in death by one daughter (Debra McAninch), 8 brothers and sisters. There will be no public visitation A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11 a.m. from Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church with Fr. Vasyl Banyk as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, 104 Shaffer St., Sykesville, PA 15865 and/or Christ the King Manor Memory Support Unit, 1100 West Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
