Administrators Pompeii Posted March 23 Administrators Share Posted March 23 Florene A. Kerr, age 93 of DuBois, PA died Friday, March 22, 2024 at Nelson’s Golden Years. Born on January 21, 1931 in Reynoldsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Stockdale, Sr. and Zeta (Cochran) Stockdale. On June 20, 1953 she married Thomas C. Kerr. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1992. Florene retired from Ideal Products in Sykesville, PA after over 20 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church in DuBois, PA. Florene is survived by two sisters (Ruth Dobis of DuBois, PA and Connie (John E.) Hopkins of Pinehurst, NC), and three brothers (Matthew (Patricia) Stockdale of Reynoldsville, PA, Joseph (Iva) Stockdale of Sykesville, PA and Francis Stockdale of Punxsutawney, PA), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers (John, Robert Jr. and Wilbur Stockdale). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 2 -5 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Mark Montgomery officiating. Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church 197 Eastern Avenue, and/or Nelson’s Golden Years, 137 Oklahoma Cemetary Road, both in DuBois, PA 15801.
