Kucharski, age 93 of DuBois, PA died Monday, April 22, 2024 at the home of her daughter in law in Punxsutawney, PA. Born on November 21, 1930 in Soldier, PA, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Lillian (Sherpenski) Rokosky. On November 5, 1948 she married John S. Kucharski, Sr. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2018. Vicky had worked at Brockway Glass and was well known for working at the Riverside-Bi Lo Bakery for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Vicky enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, word search games, and her daily "soaps". She is survived by her daughter in law (Linda Kucharski of Punxsutawney, PA) and one grandson (Michael J. Kucharski and his wife Megan of Punxsutawney, PA). Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons (Martin F. and John S. "Jack" Kucharski),and siblings, (Geraldine Varhol, Marjorie Lehner, Rose Marie "Tootie" Schimizzi, and Martin Rokosky). Vicky was the last remaining member of her immediate family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 4 - 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 10 AM from Holy Spirit Parish at St. Michael the Archangel with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to DuBois Central Catholic High School, PO Box 567, DuBois, PA 15801.
