Joann Segerberg, age 89 of DuBois, PA died Monday, January 16, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on August 1, 1933 in Punxsutawney, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Evelyn (Reitz) Sprankle. She was a 1951 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. On March 2, 1957 she married James J. Segerberg. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2002. Joann had worked alongside her husband as the bookkeeper at Jim’s Atlantic Service for over 30 years. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, a charter member of the J. E. DuBois Hose Company #3 Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Brookville Chapter 320 Order of Eastern Star, a member of the DuBois Bowling Association and enjoyed collecting giraffes. Joann is survived by her children; Mark J. Segerberg and his wife Mary and Amanda Bohensky both of DuBois, PA, a granddaughter , Beth Ann Roy and her husband Tony of DuBois, PA, and twin great granddaughters, Taylor and Emma Roy. John W. Wells, II, age 80 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Christ the King Manor. Born on March 23, 1942 in Coudersport, PA, he was the son of the late Honorable Walter P. Wells and Anne E. Mulligan Wells. John was a graduate of Coudersport High School and Canisus College in Buffalo, NY. On April 9, 1994 he married Donna (O’Neill) Wells. She survives. John was a veteran of the United States Army. He had been employed by the Marine Midland Bank in Buffalo, NY and retired from the Internal Revenue Service after many years of service. John was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior and was a member of the DuBois Shrine Club. He was a 58 year member of the Eulalia Lodge #342 Free and Accepted Masons where he had served as Past Worshipful Master. He served as District Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania and was a Past Commander in Chief and Secretary of the Valley of Coudersport. In 2000, John was awarded the Illustrious 33rd Degree and in2018 he received the Meritorious Service award from the Coudersport Consistory. Early on, there was a push to make the solution equitable: an international partnership to share ideas, technology, new forms of medicine to rapidly solve this crisis. That brings us to Twitter. The global lobbying blitz includes direct pressure on social media. BioNTech, which developed Pfizer's vaccine, reached out to Twitter to request that Twitter directly censor users tweeting at them to ask for generic low cost vaccines. 6. Twitter's reps responded quickly to the pharma request, which was also backed by the German government. A lobbyist in Europe asked the content moderation team to monitor the accounts of Pfizer, AstraZeneca & of activist hashtags like #peoplesvaccine 7. The potential "fake accounts" that Twitter monitored for protesting Pfizer? These were real people. Here's one the Twitter team flagged for potential terms of use violations. I talked to Terry, a 74 year old retired bricklayer in the UK on the phone. 8. It's not clear what actions Twitter ultimately took on this particular request. Several Twitter employees noted in subsequent messages that none of this activism constituted abuse. But the company continued monitoring tweets. 9. In a separate push, Pfizer & Moderna's lobbying group, BIO, fully funded a special content moderation campaign designed by a contractor called Public Good Projects, which worked w/Twitter to set content moderation rules around covid "misinformation." 10. BIO provided $1,275,000 to the campaign, part of which is revealed through tax forms. The PGP campaign, called "Stronger," helped Twitter create content moderation bots, select which public health accounts got verification, helped crowdsource content takedowns. 11. Many of the tweets the BIO-funded campaign focused on were truly unhinged misinfo, like claims that vaccines include microchips. But others Stronger lobbied Twitter on were more of a grey area, like vaccine passports & vaccine mandates, policies that coerce vaccination. 12. The Moderna/Pfizer-funded campaign included direct regular emails with lists of tweets to takedown & others to verify. Here's an example of those types of emails that went straight to Twitter's lobbyists and content moderators. Many focused on @zerohedge, which was suspended. 13. Notably, this massive push to censor and label covid misinfo never applied to drug companies. When big pharma wildly exaggerated the risks of creating low-cost generic covid vaccines, Stronger did nothing. The rules applied only to critics of industry. 14. The searches were carried out by a Twitter attorney, so what I saw could be limited. The CDC could end all the COVID misinformation in a heartbeat... why aren't they? Here are two ways they could settle the question of safety. They are both easy to do. I find it very troubling they have no interest in doing either of them. Steve Kirsch Executive summary The US government (or any foreign government) could instantly end the safety debate by doing a couple of studies. Why they don’t is a mystery to me. Could they have something to hide? The studies Trial #1: Run a prospective double-blind randomized trial where they look at the parameters in the Thailand study PLUS d-Dimer before the shot and 3, 7, 14 days after the shot. Don’t limit it to just kids. A 30% rate of cardiac injury in the Thailand study wasn’t predicted by anyone in mainstream science. I’d have thought that the US government would want to see if it is even worse for the elderly and younger kids. But maybe nobody wants to know because they all seem afraid to want to look. Study #1: Just do autopsies on anyone who died 2 weeks after their shot and actually do the correct histopathology and stains that can implicate the vaccine instead of skipping those tests. Autopsies using STANDARD tests (which is what we are doing now) will NEVER implicate the vaccine because they were never designed to find COVID vaccine damage. How hard is that? My personal guess as to what they will find It wouldn’t surprise me at all to find more than a 20% rate over all ages of measurable cardiac injury caused by these vaccines (18% had abnormal EKGs post-vax which is extremely troubling). I talked to Charles Hoff today and he found more than 50% of his patients had elevated d-Dimers post-vaccine. There was a cardiac screening in Puerto Rico using an FDA approved cardiac monitor that picked up an abnormal signal in 70% of the 177 people tested (age 8 to 84). I heard that a study in the US military discovered a 68% rate of cardiac injury. A study in Switzerland of 777 healthcare workers showed that 2.8% had elevated Troponin just 3 days after the booster. So 7 million Americans with heart damage is a minimum. I’m guessing it will be around 50 million Americans overall who have had their hearts damaged by these vaccines (based mostly on the 18% abnormal EKG post jab and that’s just ONE measurement). Think about it… 50 million Americans have been harmed by these vaccines and nobody is saying a word. But don’t worry because if you are injured, it’s your fault for getting the vaccine. It’s not like you were forced to get it or anything like that. It was your free choice. The government isn’t liable for your injuries even though they didn’t warn you about the side effects. Is there any wonder why nobody wants to find out the true numbers? Any thinking person should be wondering why nobody in the medical community or mainstream media is speaking out. Summary The Thailand study should be concerning for everyone. It showed close to a 30% rate of cardiac injury (which they called “cardiovascular manifestations”) after the 2nd vax shot on kids who were perfectly normal before the shot. This suggests that: All of the previous estimates based on observational studies were wrong… in some cases by a factor of nearly 1,000X. That is a huge goof by the medical community. However, nobody seems to be upset by that… I guess science is OK when the peer-reviewed papers are off by close to three orders of magnitude. See this description of the Swiss study for the reference (“2.8 percent instead of the expected [post-COVID vaccine of] 0.0035 percent”). We have no idea what the numbers will look like for older or younger people. They could be far worse. We have no idea because we’ve never measured it. Everyone in the medical community, mainstream media, and Congress should be calling for both of these studies, but all I hear is crickets. I wonder why?

One Thing, Jesus Christ. Fr. Ben Daghir Will Post Weekly Articles HERE Every Monday! Article 5 - Second Series - January 16th, 2023 by Fr. Ben Daghir What do Thomas Jefferson, Blaise Pascal, Ernest Hemingway and the Virgin Mary have in common? I find this question to be an interesting way to begin an article. Thomas Jefferson once stated “the most valuable of all talents, that of never using two words where one will do.” Blaise Pascal once wrote, “I would have written a shorter letter, but I did not have the time.” Ernest Hemingway was once asked, “What makes good writing?” He responded, “why use two words when one will do?” There is something to be said about brevity, being concise, and flat out getting to the point. It takes a remarkable intellect to be short and sweet. We desire brevity when we are reading an article, an essay, or a book. We desire for a speaker to be concise, especially during a homily or a speech. I remember saying to myself many times while growing up and sitting in the Church pews, “Get to the point.” I remember often saying to myself as a student while listening to the professor’s lecture, “Get to the point.” Of course, I often say to myself while preparing a homily or writing an article (like this one) - “Get to the point!” Now, the Virgin Mary is an example, par excellence, of being concise. Her words are brief, yet profound throughout the Gospels. This is because she is brilliant, holy, and concise. We see this in her encounter with the angel Gabriel who says to her, “Do not be afraid Mary, you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus” (Luke 1:30-31). Mary ponders what this means, questions, and then responds, “Let it be done to me according to your will” (Luke 1:38). Her one-sentence response speaks volumes about sainthood. We see her remarkable brevity during the Wedding Feast at Cana. John tells us, “When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him [Jesus], ‘they have no wine’” (John 2:3). Mary then informs the servers to “do whatever he tells you” (John 2:5). She states one line which captures every spiritual insight of the saints. “Do whatever he tells you” gets to the point and the heart of the Christian life. Thomas Jefferson, Blaise Pascal, and Ernest Hemingway understood the power of brevity. Their words remind us of what makes good communication, whether it be spoken or written. These figures also remind us of the brilliance of the Virgin Mary who treasured and pondered God’s word deep within her heart. Mary Lois McDole, Age 82 of DuBois, PA, died Friday, January 13, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital in DuBois, PA. Born on August 5, 1940 in Celina, TN, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Olyne Killman. On April 27, 1957 in Lapel, IN, she married Lawrence K. “Cracker” McDole. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2004. Mary enjoyed boating, car shows and traveling. She looked forward to music in the park with her friends, and going to dinner with her family. She was often delighted with the company of her great grandchildren, Lilah, Lolah, and Lukah Farrell. She is survived by three children, Lawrence J. McDole and his wife Kelly of Anderson, IN, Penny McCarthy and her husband Kevin of Carlisle, PA, Timothy B. McDole and his wife Carrie of Brockport, PA, and a daughter in law Penny McDole of Lapel, IN. Mrs. McDole is also survived by her grandchildren who cared for her, Lauren Farrell and her husband Scott of Rockton, PA and Steve McDole of Clearfield, PA, as well as six other grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
