William R. “Bill” Heitzenrater, age 74 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at his home. Born on July 3, 1948 in Punxsutawney, PA, he was the son of the late H. Vaughn and J. Ethel (Bodenhorn) Heitzenrater. On April 20, 1968 he married Judith “Judy” (Leksell) Heitzenrater. She survives. Bill was a 1966 graduate of Punxsutawney High School. Upon graduating from Penn State University, DuBois with an Electrical and Electronic Technology Associate Degree, he went to work for Bell of PA in Harrisburg, working 13 years in the Engineering Circuit Layout Bureau. In 1981 he transferred to Outside Facilities Engineering in DuBois until his retirement in 2002. Bill served for six years with the United States Army Reserve, 316th Station Hospital as a medical corpsman, achieving the rank of SP5. He was also an adult leader with the Boy Scouts of America for 18 years. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by two children; Christina (Mike) Delp of Coudersport, PA and Richard Heitzenrater of Corpus Cristi, TX, three grandchildren; Noah and Nash Delp and Kylie Heitzenrater, one sister Yvonne (Laverne) Thompson of Big Run, PA and one brother Charles Heitzenrater of Erie, PA. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Gene, Bob and Paul Heitzenrater and one sister; Wanda Freas. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 1 PM from Sabula United Methodist Church with Pastor Butch Brunner officiating. Donna M. Miller, age 67 of Reynoldsville, PA died Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at her home. Born on November 24, 1955 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene (Martin) Roush. On August 30, 1986 she married Paul “Lee” Miller. He survives. Donna retired from Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital as the manager of Medical Records after many years of service. She loved camping, ceramics, arts and crafts and her dogs. Above all, she loved being with her family and following their many activities. Donna was especially excited about the birth of her first great grandchild. Along with her husband, Donna is survived by her children; Brian Butler of DuBois, PA and Robert Butler and his wife Nicole of Punxsutawney, PA, four grandchildren; Dylan, Alexis, Andrew and Austin Butler, two sisters; Edie McCartney and her husband Bill and Doris Broomall both of DuBois, PA. She was preceded in death by one sister (Shirley Krach) and one brother (Danny Roush).
