Thomas Eugene Frank, age 87, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 16, 2022 surrounded by his family. Tom was born on Oct. 22, 1934 in Reynoldsville, PA to the late Clarence and Sophie (Ritsky) Frank. On Dec. 11, 1957, Tom married Zella May (Cramer) Frank who survives. Tom loved Zella with all his heart and was devoted to her throughout their 64 years of marriage. Tom was a graduate of Reynoldsville High School. He proudly served in the United States Army. He was Christian by faith and loved the Lord Jesus. Tom attended Penn State University, DuBois campus. Tom was a salesman for Dracket and Hills Brothers and owned Pepperidge Farms, Bachman and Stella Dora franchise routes in the tri county area. He retired at the age of 48 and enjoyed his years of retirement. Tom coached for DuBois Little League for 30+ years including many All-Star teams with his good friend Jerry Pyne. Tom and Jerry’s teams won 3 state championships. In 1986, Tom and Jerry’s team finished 4th in the world after competing in the 1986 Senior League All-Stars in Kissimmee, FL. He was an assistant baseball coach for DuBois Central Christian in 1986-87. He was an avid athlete in many sports including baseball, football, basketball, bowling, and golf. In his later years, he loved playing golf in his yard and many of the local golf courses. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his five children: Kathy Morelli Bross and her husband Rusty of Frederick, MD, Theresa Gustafson and her husband Fred of DuBois, Mary Carlheim and her husband Dan of Philipsburg, Laurie Groves and her husband Dale of DuBois and Tommy Frank and his wife Stacey of DuBois. Tom is also survived by 15 grandchildren: Justin (Julia) Morelli, Monica (Chris) Clinch, Michelle Morelli, Kaylee (Sean) Bowser, Melanie (Brandon) Bumbarger, Markie (Corey) Rearick, Emily Gustafson, Carson Carlheim, Dannika Carlheim, Tori (Jeremy) Gallo, Teri Groves, Tyler Groves, Jackson Frank, Jordan Frank and Jessy Frank. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren with one on the way and one great-great-grandson. Tom is also survived by his brother, Jim (Carol) Frank of Florida and many nieces and nephews. His always loyal dog, Tebow, never left his side. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Kay Koontz, his son-in-law, Tom Morelli, and his grandson, Jason Morelli. There will be no public visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Pamela M. Young, age 66 of Sykesville, PA died Monday, May 16, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 8, 1956 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Allison “Jack” and Shirley (Jacobs) Kelichner, Jr. On December 31, 1977 she married Charles “Chuck” Young. He survives. Pam was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 35 years at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, watching TV and surfing the internet. Above all, she loved being with her grandchildren. Pam is survived by two children (Rebecca Bush of Sykesville, PA) and (Scott Young and his wife Mia of El Dorado Hills, CA), five grandchildren (Kaden, Ryleigh, Maddox, Makayla and Ciana), and one sister (Paula Stine and her husband Patrick of DuBois, PA). Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 2 – 4 PM & 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Parastas will be prayed on Friday at 5:30 PM. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10 AM from the Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church with Father Vasyl Banyk as celebrant. Now, I’m not here to judge you. I know we’re all scared and tired and we’ve been so hardwired. Media fueled the wrong fires. We’re depressed, we’re dying while billionaires are crying with laughter— And we’re just running faster away from reality. Well ... Why wouldn’t we? They’ve got guns and we’ve got family. This isn’t conspiracy— theories have been brought to light throughout history. We’re in a cave thinking we’re free. Won’t go to the light, it’s easier not to see. Can we go back to dictionaries? When definitions were clear? We don’t read, we just fear. Words manipulated we didn’t know existed. Let teachers fix it so parents can be distant. Mess with child development. “Just leave it to the government,” let them draw our paths ‘cause we gave them the pencil. We can erase this if we face it. Us against the faces that convince us drugs will solve our problems while they profit from our consumption. Stop listening to stars and politicians and begin using intuition, Discerning fact from fiction. Stop paying into our addiction of listening to a system that’s turning us into victims of our lack of wisdom. If you don’t see it now, it’s okay to be confused, but don’t throw rocks at those who do. Take a step back and you’ll see who is piloting this ruse: A bunch of individuals profiting from your residuals, putting our money into propaganda and riot police instead of into our failing healthcare system. They’ve always done this: saying they need our cash to fix the roads while they ride private jets and fancy boats. No wonder we can’t stay afloat... We’re right where they want us: distanced and thoughtless, avoiding each other so we can’t discuss what’s wrong with this picture. Instead we write our feelings— caps lock on with words vomiting out of our thumbs without knowledge of real arguing. Why can’t ideas be shared without ruining friendships and careers? Just ‘cause someone got offended? Never learned emotional intelligence? Your feelings have no relevance in the crusade for truth. If they gave any credit to the people we wouldn’t have censored information. We just see one side on every station pushing separation between each other so we’re too busy judging mothers who wonder why their kids are being smothered— Masks in gym class, call out the other when he pulls down his mask. How do they even learn in class? Ads selling problems not solutions. Our institutions told us following was the solution. ‘Cause if you think for yourself “you’ll go nowhere with an F.” But I can tell you the people who came out independent were the ones who were observant. I had to unlearn to become present, and yeah, I’m still working on it, but I make choices for myself. This isn’t about health. If it were they’d tell us: “get your vitamins” “go for walks whenever you can” “do sports and eat well” “have interactions – real human connections” “raise your kids with healthy immune systems”. Instead they punish insurrections that fight for freedom from the infectious disease that is control. They swallow us whole. Keep us indoors. Special treatment for big-box stores, but give us fines when we’re unsure what martial law is in place today. Throw us cheques to stay on our good side, keep us lost and afraid ‘cause we can’t afford a rising mortgage or rent since we lost our pay. It was never gonna be just a few days.

Hey, Its a good start to eliminate all of that CHEATING in Pa. A standing room-only crowd made up mostly of organized, left-leaning, political activists shouted, “Shame! Shame!” when commissioners in Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County voted to remove a ballot drop box placed at the county building on Monday, the day before the primary election. Now, instead of placing absentee ballots in the drop box located just three steps inside the door of the county building, voters will have to walk about 30 steps into the building, from the same door, to get to the Board of Elections office where they will hand their ballot directly to one of the workers. Anyone entering the building beyond the drop box must go through a metal detector manned by the sheriff department. Opponents say this makes voting “too difficult and complex” for voters. At the time of the commissioners’ vote on Monday, the county’s lone drop box had only been in place since Friday. Around the nation, the use of unmanned drop boxes has met with scrutiny amid evidence of suspected fraud. The Dinesh D’Souza film “2000 Mules” features government surveillance footage showing people stuffing drop boxes with multiple ballots in multiple locations in numerous states. Another investigation by Pennsylvania’s Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, in which detectives reviewed hours of video of the county’s drop boxes for the October 2021 elections, found hundreds of people putting multiple ballots into unmanned drop boxes. Pennsylvania law requires a voter to send an absentee ballot by mail or deliver it personally. Yet, Gov. Tom Wolf’s wife, Frances Wolf, broke this law in the October 2021 election, when she deposited her own ballot along with her husband’s ballot in a York County ballot drop box. The governor later called it an honest mistake. Lancaster County had not intended to provide a drop box for the primary election, but the county was sued last week by the American Civil Liberties Union, claiming that it had failed to meet in the sunshine to decide not to use drop boxes. But a judge ruled on May 13 that the decision not to used drop boxes was administrative and did not need to be discussed in a public meeting, Lancaster County Commissioner Ray D’Agostino told The Epoch Times. The judge ordered the county to return to status quo, which he considered to be with drop boxes. He also allowed for the commissioners to meet on Monday and vote on the use of ballot boxes in the county. With one commissioner out of town, two of the three commissioners met at 11 a.m. on May 16 and passed a resolution banning ballot drop boxes from being used in Lancaster County for this primary or any future election, unless compelled by Pennsylvania statute or by an official legal authority. Before the vote, commissioners took about an hour of public comment. In a group email, Duncan Hopkins, an organizer with the advocacy group Lancaster Stands Up, rallied Democrats to attend the meeting. In the email, he alleged that commissioners “are working so hard to confuse voters and make it more difficult for many to cast a ballot so close to an election.” Representatives from the NAACP, League of Women Voters, Lancaster Democratic Party, Lancaster City Democrats, Pennsylvania CASA, and Lancaster Stands Up implored the commissioners to expand drop boxes to every community in the county instead of removing the county’s only drop box. “It is a sense of privilege to say everyone can get here to vote,” said one woman, whose mother is 96 and uses oxygen. Barbara J. Ross, age 69 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, May 15, 2022 at her home. Born on December 17, 1952 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Grace (Lucore) Novitsky. On September 5, 1969 she married Ronald D. Ross, Sr. He survives. Barb had worked as a Customer Service Representative for First Commonwealth Bank for many years and later retired as Senior Loan Officer from Priority First Federal Credit Union in DuBois, PA. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society, served as a Lector and as a Eucharistic Minister. Barb had also been very active in the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Barb enjoyed working in her flower garden, traveling, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter Carolyn Taylor and her husband Timothy of St. Marys, PA, one son Ronald Ross, Jr. and his wife Anne Marie of Akron, OH, and six grandchildren (Timothy, Jr., Michael, Caitlyn, Andrew, Hannah and Brandon). Barb was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by two sisters (Frances “Fran” Marshall and Carol Teddick). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. The rosary will be prayed at 5:15 PM from the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 10 AM from St. Michael Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
