  1. Gary Lee Tapper, Age 62, of Diamond Street, Penfield, PA died on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Nelson’s Golden Years in DuBois, PA.

    Born on December 14, 1955 in DuBois, PA, the son of Raymond R. Tapper, Sr. who survives of Clear Run, DuBois and the late Patricia J. (Connor) Tapper. 

    He worked as a maintenance electrician for WNA Chattanooga Tennessee Plastic Company.

    Gary is survived by 2 children, Jason Tapper of Penfield, PA & Jacqueline Tapper of DuBois, PA; a brother, Raymond “Rick” Tapper, Jr.; his sister, Mona Seary & her husband Brandyn both of DuBois, PA and a grandson, Luke Tapper.

    Preceded in death by his mother (Patricia J. Tapper) on October 7, 2016.

    Visitation will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 12-2 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

    A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2 PM from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Terry Felt officiating.

    Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.

  2. Mary L. Harris, Age 63, of West Main Street, Brookville, PA formerly of Sykesville, PA died on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney, PA.

    Born on September 24, 1954 in Kane, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Virginia (Orzetti) Trumbull.

    On March 17, 1972 she married William C. Harris, Sr. He survives.

    Mary worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 30 years.

    Mary is survived by her daughter, Danielle Dupuis; a sister, Nancy Harris of Kane, PA; 5 grandchildren, Destinee Victoria Harris, Divinity Grace Schulze, Christopher Harris, Nedra Garvey & Dakota Duttry and 5 great grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her son (William C. Harris, Jr.), an infant brother and her sister (Bonnie Gibbs).

    Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 5-8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

    A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10 AM from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating. 

    Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery.

  3. Josephine “Jo” E. Domitrovich, Age 94, of West Long Avenue, DuBois, PA died on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Christ the King Manor.

    Born on June 20, 1923 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Josephine (Ogershok) Strosky.

    On January 17, 1942 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church she married Michael J. Domitrovich.  He preceded her in death.

    Jo was the owner/operator of Jo’s Beauty Shop in DuBois and Punxsutawney for 40 years.

    She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She was the past president for the Business & Professional Women’s Club in DuBois. She enjoyed international travel.

    Jo is survived by 2 sons, James M. Domitrovich & his wife Susan of The Villages, FL and Michael Domitrovich & his wife Christine of Quincy, MA; 4 grandchildren, James M. Domitrovich, Jr., Michael Smith, Katie & Amanda Domitrovich and 3 great grandchild, Nick Buffington, Alexis Domitrovich & Josephine Smith.

    She was preceded in death by a granddaughter (Beth Domitrovich) and her brother, (Joseph Strosky).

    There will be no public visitation.

    A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

    Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery.

    The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.

  4. Albert T. Masonis, Age 95, of Hibbard Road, DuBois, PA died on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his home.

    Born on March 1, 1923 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Vincent and Caroline (Ptashauskas) Masonis.

    He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.

    Albert retired from Triangle Auto Springs after 40 years of service.

    He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He loved his dog, Lizzie.

    Albert is survived by his son, Joseph E. Masonis of Penfield, PA; a daughter, Dorothy J. Storbakken & her husband Gene of Williston, ND; his brother, Edward Masonis of Elyria, OH; 6 grandchildren, John, Jr., Michele, Joseph, Jr., Kimberly, Jamey & Lani; 9 great grandchildren and three great- great grandchild. He is also survived by his long-time friend, Karen Nebgen of DuBois, PA.

    He was preceded in death by is wife (Frances (Pierce) Masonis; a son (Bernard Masonis) and a daughter (Frances Gula).

    There will be no public visitation.

    A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10 AM from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.

    Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the church.

    Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

  5. Mary B. Toda, Age 80, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA died on Monday, May 14, 2018 at her residence.

    Born on January 27, 1938 in Windber, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Semivan) Buchosky.

    She married Charles “Charlie” Toda. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2014.

    Mary retired as a secondary science and mathematics teacher from the Hubbard Ohio School District, after 25 years of service. She received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She then received a Master’s Degree as well as her PhD in Education from Youngstown State University. She was named a Martha Holden Jennings Scholar. 

    She was a member of the Treasure Lake Quilting Club “Wips and Stitches” and was a member of the Ladies of the Lake.

    Mary is survived by one daughter, Niki Toda Krause and her husband, Bill of Sagamore Hills, OH; a sister, Susan Dutzman of Irwin, PA and two grandchildren, Kathryn Krause and Mitchell Krause. 

    Visitation will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 11-1 PM from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

    A private funeral service will be held at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

    Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.

    Memorials may be placed with Penn Highlands Hospice, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.

  6. Lynette F. (Bayne) Molina, Age 67, of Brockway, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 06, 2018 at her home that she shared with her sister Sue.

    Lynn was born in Short Creek, WV and was the daughter of the late John and Eileen (Dickson) Bayne.

    After raising her family, she received her CNA and managed a personal care home in Tarentum, PA for 17 years. After moving to Brockway with her sister, she helped with her Bed n Breakfast & catering business. She also worked part-time at the Goodwill store in Brockway and ended her career in healthcare as an in home private duty care giver.

    Lynn attended Lakeside United Methodist Church in DuBois, where she served as a greeter and volunteered in the Outreach dinner program. She also volunteered at the Brockwayville Depot.

    She enjoyed making latch hook rugs, playing bingo, puzzles and going to casinos, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her 3 great nephews; Tyler, Jacob & Andrew McIntosh.

    Lynn is survived by her daughter, Michele Brestensky & her husband Dave of Freeport, PA; a son, Michael Hails & his wife Kim of Springdale, PA; 2 sisters, Jonnie “Sue” Ferranti of Brockway, PA and Sandra Green of Ashtabula, OH; 7 grandchildren, D.J., Amanda & Asti Brestensky and Lauren, Kaitlyn, Courtney & Collin Hails; 2 nieces, Michele Pfeil of Florida and Susan (Ferranti) McIntosh of DuBois, PA and 3 nephews, Steve & Brian Mihalic of Ohio & Tim Mehalic of North Carolina.

    She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Ziedler.

    There will be a private family viewing.

    A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11 AM from the Lakeside United Methodist Church with Dr. Robert Kirby officiating.

    Arrangements are under the direction of the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

    Memorials may be placed with Lakeside United Methodist Church, 420 First Street, DuBois, PA 15801 and/or the charity of the donor’s choice.
