Wanted to get some feedback on what flea preventative you are using on your Shih Tzu(s). Their skin is always itching for one reason or another because of their sensitivities and allergic reactions, but what treatment have you felt worked best for them. I am presently using Frontline Plus and don't know if that's the best one for them.

K9 Advantx.  I get the multi pack for year round. covers all biters. Flea, Tick, and human blood suckers too. Skeeters. I have a Shih Tzu, Pom mix..

Can still recognize the remaining buildings from fires through the years. Brings back memories of walking down for penny candy and ice cream. Hicks' garage for orange sodas. Ahhhh the good old days.

Libby's. Can't eat "homemade" pumpkin pie without throwing up... yuk. Might be just how it was made but prefer "canned" pumpkin pie filling without the "pie spice". Just wonderful cinnamon.

My kid can't go in Lowe's without checking out the half dead ones. She has quite the collection. She ordered from somewhere too.

It's a cemetary. What do you expect.

I actually saw one of these years ago when we were blackberry picking. Nice to know the name of what we saw.

Penn State. My daughter tested ours as part of her class. There is a test kit you can get.

She'll have to be sure to join one of the Orchid Societies here in PA.  I can get her a name to contact if she's interested.  I know a local gentleman who has hundreds of orchids.  We've toured his greenhouse several times.

 

Unfortunately the Central PA Orchid Show in State College is over for the year but they have regular meetings.

Central PA Orchid Show

She attended Penn State and we were at the Orchid show. Came home with four and some supplies. She picked up a paper on the club and was saying she was thinking of joining. She has a BS in Horticulture and loves all things growing. She was at the show in Philladelphia too. Her boyfriend baught the tickets for this year. She tries to go every year. I just finished watering all her plants. Hopefully they are in the same positions. Stickler for positions she is.

Houseplant type orchids?  Is it a terrestrial type orchid that looks similar to the Lady Slipper Orchid?

Her label says Paph. Hsinying Glory #2. It took a year to bloom and lasted several months. She has a new orchid now that the blossom is very long and stringy. Very pretty and interesting. She wants to grow them professionally some day.

Beautiful. My daughter has a kitchen full of orchids. She has one to two that look similar to your pic.

My relatives owned a hardware store just off main street. behind the big brick building that was torn down. That house was so cool three floors and a full basement to play in.
