  1. Go to Tractor supply and buy a 5oz bottle of permethrin-10 for about $7.Mix 2.5-3 oz with one gallon of water in a yard sprayer.Shake it up,spray your cloths and let it dry.It will last through several washes and you'll never get a tick imbedded in you. This kills them,it doesn't repel them.I've watched ticks crawl up my leg and fall off dead in less than a minute.I spray it on our horses as well but never put it on a cat.I've been using this for about 10 years, spend an emormous amount of time in tick infested country and have never once had a tick attached since since using it.

  2. I don't mean to ruin the fun or be a Debbie doubter but I've spent a bunch of time researching anyone dying there and have come up empty.Personally,my guess would be and I'm just speculating here, that nobody died in that tunnel and people's mind are playing games with them.

  3. No disrespect taken, everyone is entitled to their own opinions on the subject. A place doesn't have to have someone technically living there to be haunted. For example, if something was built and it was torn down, and something else was built on top of it, it could still contain the residue from before. Another example, Gettysburg, there is alot of testimonies of people saying that there is still history among the war fields. They didn't live on the fields. So the tunnels for example, something could have happened on the property around that area or inside that area that triggers paranormal.

I would imagine Gettysburg would be a different situation than a tunnel that goes through a mountain.People are free to believe what they want and who knows, maybe they're correct.I just don't buy it.

  4. Like I said I think it would be neat to but Im only interested in the tunnels. I do understand. But its not for entertainment, its to find out about the history of the tunnels and to find out what lingers from the afterlife. You sir may not be a believer, but I am:)

Not trying to be disrespectful but I'm not a believer. In any event, why would a tunnel be haunted? It's not like anyone lived in them.

  5. I believe three guys senselessly beat him almost to death with a tire iron and he died not long after that.I heard quite  few stories of his feats of strength from first hand witnesses. From all accounts he was a nice guy that just kept to himself and never bothered anyone.

  6. Have you ever seen a human skeleton while in the woods? If they exist, they could bury their dead just like humans do..

No,if someone dies, they usually get hauled out and buried.Dead people are skelatons are found from time to time though.I have however, found dead bear, deer and a variety of other animals. Is there any evidence that any primate burys their dead? There's plenty of speculation what they could do.Unfortunately,if there were 30k of them, irrefutable evidence would be present.

  7. I have no way to post them. They're just old courier articles that I actually got at the historical society. There are pictures of the bodies laying in a fetal position in the graves Basically,an archiologist named James Herbstritt did the dig in the late 70's.It was an old indian fort from about 900AD .I believe there were around 160+ bodies excavated and they were all buried beneath long houses rather than in a  traditional grave site.He claimed most died from dental problems but it was strange the way they were buried.Other theories exist like a meteorite hit the area but know one will ever know for sure.Supposedly,There were other encampments off of Showers rd and Hickory rd.I have a friend who's an archiologist and he's found artifacts all around Sabula.A lot of artifacts have also been found in Bundy's fields along rt 255 going into penfield. There's lots of stories and theiries that surrounded that dig site.Apparently,an old Indian trail used to go to it and then for some reason, the trails went around it and intentionally avoided it.

  8. Bundy Cemetery is on Bundy Settlement Road and is neatly kept.  The road has been renamed by some schmuck to say Sierra Heights.  I guess they can't tell the difference between the Rockies and the Appalachians.  It is on top of the mountain and has both stone steps up to it and a big stone with the Bundy Cemetery name in it.  While it is the property of the county, as are all non-commercial cemeteries, it is still overseen by a member of the Bundy Family.  There are no ghosts, orbs or any other sort of phenomena but there is a beautiful view of the sky for watching shooting stars.  The parking is horrible.  You reach it by turning up Kilmer Road at Sabula Dam.  On the way you can pass the original Pine Grove School house where my Mother attended.  She was Ellen "Louise" Bundy Hollobaugh.  Most of my direct ancestors are buried there

There is also a small cemetery that you pass at the Emmanuel Boone Mountain Church.  Also known as the Pine Grove Cemetery.

I'm not certain where the Bish Cemetery is located but there is one just off of the main road from Sabula to Penfield.  Elaine and Sam Spicher are buried there.  About a mile beyond Sabula you turn left onto a dirt road and it is also up on the  hill on the right.

The only confirmed indian encampment is located on Kilmer Road about two miles on the right near the Kalgren home.  There is nothing to see.  No indian burial grounds exist.  They have either been lost to time and nature or they were buried in cemeteries just like the English and other settlers.

I'm pretty sure the Bish cemetery is the one down fire tower rd.Many of the hilltops around Sabula had indian encampments. The only burial site that I know of  was on Kalgren's property but there were obviously more. That site has been cleaned up and there really is nothing to see there.Still, some pretty cool history.

  9. The burial grounds are on my Grandpa's old land, he sold it years ago and they found neat stuff when they were excavating the land.. Its off of Kilmer road. ;)

I'm not sure where your grandpa's old land was but there were several indian encampments in and around Sabula. The most notorious had over 160 bodies excavated in the late 70's.I have a bunch of old articles about it that are pretty interesting. There's a bunch of neat history about it but it's not easy to find.I wouldn't take a ride up there unannounced though unless you know the landowner.

  10. I ran into a group of these people two years ago. They came up from Oklahoma and they saw bigfoot within a couple hours of arriving here.About a year later,I was googling them and came accross their entire report on their website.I knew exactly where they claimed to have seen it which was in Narrows creek within a couple hundred feet of several houses. They described the location as a remote mountain top in northcentral Pa when it was actually in Treasure lake lol.In any event,I had some fun with them that day.I can probably pull up the link and send it to you. They also showed me a bunch of deer bones that they were convinced were from a bigfoot kill.I didn't have the heart to tell them that they were from carcuses that I discarded after hunting season. They were as serious as a heart attack though.
