  1. Thomas Tinker, a teacher at Jeff Tech, passed on to heaven on December 26, 2020, after a 21-month battle with brain cancer. Thomas Tinker was born on February 9, 1957, to Ben and Norma Tinker of Dubois, PA. His father Ben precedes him in death. He married Amy Tinker (Nemeth) in 1980. They were blessed with 40 years of love and friendship. They had two children Michael and Stefanie. Stefanie passed away 1997 and met Tom in heaven. He was a teacher at Jeff Tech for 23 years following 12 years of teaching at Triangle Tech. He loved his work. His students brought him great joy. He was a member of the Life Community Church and took every opportunity to serve his church and community. His believed in Jesus’s first and second great commandments, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. You shall love your neighbor as yourself”. His life is a testament to these commandments. In 2011, his lifelong dream became a reality and he designed and built his own home on his family farm. When he wasn’t finishing the house, he enjoyed reading historical novels, watching the Steelers and Pirates play, playing word games on his iPad and eating ice cream. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 1, 2021 from 1-3pm and 6-8pm from Life Community Church 5368 Shaffer Rd, DuBois, PA 15801. Social distancing requirements will be in place. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 9am from Life Community Church with Pastor James Goodman officiating. Although flowers are appreciated, Tom would love for monetary donations to be made to a Jeff Tech scholarship in his name.   2. Dale Kirkwood Groves, Age 87 of DuBois, PA died Saturday, December 26, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on May 19, 1933 in Monaca, PA he was the son of the late Robert F. & Margaret L. Kirkwood Groves, Sr. On January 18, 1958, he married his wife of 45 years, Patricia L. Mack Groves. She preceded him in death on May 25, 2003. Dale was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in the Korean War. He was the Owner/ Operator of Quality Paint Contractors for many years. Dale was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DuBois and a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post 17. He was a member of Gideons International and enjoyed playing tennis, fishing, hunting, and participating in the Senior Olympics with his friend and former coach, Joe Federici. Dale, along with Tom Frank and Harold Hershberger, started the Saturday Morning Baseball League and he was an integral person in the formation of the DuBois Church Softball League. Dale is survived by 5 children (Valerie Groves of DuBois, PA and her daughter Voni Black and her husband Mike; Vicki Ritchie & her husband George of Ravenna, OH and her children Cory Sholes and his wife Kristen, Kacy Knouse and her husband Brandon, & Cody Welsch and his wife Amanda; Voni Netta & her husband Ray of Bear, DE and her children Nick Netta and his wife Bethany & Emily Clarke and her husband Pat; Dale M. Groves & his wife Laurie of DuBois, PA and his children Tori Gallo and her husband Jeremy, Teri Groves, and Tyler Groves; and Darrel Groves & his wife Daisy of Ft. Wayne, IN and his children Brooke Morin and her husband Derek and Cyrus& Abram Groves), 16 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters (Betty Shobert & her husband Robert of Wilmington, DE and Marge Moore of Sarasota, FL). He was preceded in death by his infant son (Dale R. Groves) and a brother (Robert F.   3. Glenn Robert Hicks, age 90 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his home. Born on October 15, 1930 in Beechwoods, PA, he was the son of the late Guy W. and Charlotte (Corbett) Hicks. On October 15, 1954, he married his wife of 66 years, Patricia A. “Patty” Smith Hicks. She survives. Glenn was the owner/operator of Hicks Dairy Farm for many years. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, the Pennsylvania Farm Association, and had been a member of the Brady Grange. Above all, Glenn & Patty loved their time with their family, especially their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Glenn was looked up to and admired by his entire family and was a role model for each of them to follow. Glenn is survived by his children; (Barry Hicks & his wife Janet, Kimberly Bash & her husband Dave, Wanda Shaffer & her husband Dale and Gail Fairman & her husband Scott all of DuBois, PA), 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers; (Jim, Walter & George Hicks) and 3 sisters; (Phyllis Conley, Gladys Ent and Hazel Fritz).   4. Linda McFarland, age 69 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on March 21, 1951 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nick and Miriam (Wyant) Alvetro. On August 16, 1970, she married her husband of 50 years, Fred P. McFarland. He survives. Linda was a homemaker and had previously worked at Rola Jensen. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Sykesville FOE 4454. She loved to play bingo and enjoyed cooking. Above all, she loved to spend time with her children and all of her grandchildren. Linda is survived by her children; (Denise Mazza of DuBois, PA and Leslie McFarland & her companion Rick Kiehl of DuBois, PA), 6 grandchildren; (Nicholina Condran, Joey & Tony Mazza and Janel, Jordan & Johnna Wilson), 5 great grandchildren;(Liliana, Jace, Brooks, Ada & Masie) and half brother (Richard Alvetro of Clearfield, PA).   5. Donald E. Jewell, Age 84 of Falls Creek, PA died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on April 26, 1936 in Ellington, MO, he was the son of the late Luther and Della (Whitchurch) Jewell Clark. On November 26, 1988 he married JoAnn D. Smith Jewell. She preceded him in death on September 9, 2018. Don worked as a service technician for Sekula Signs for 36 years. He enjoyed golfing and hunting. He was HAM Radio Operator and a member of the Punxsutawney Area Amateur Radio Club and the Quad County Radio Club. He loved to tinker and was very handy. Don’s motto was “Why would I buy it if I can build it?” Don is survived by 4 children,(Donald E. Jewell & his wife Tammy, Joseph T. Jewell & his wife Debbie & James M. Jewell all of DuBois, PA and Karen Hoover & her husband Mike of Falls Creek, PA), 2 step daughters, Carol Bembenic & her husband Dennis of Brockway, PA and Brendy Sackandy & her husband Louis of Ellicott City, MD); 13 grandchildren Clayton Jewell, Shawn & Jordan Hoover, Brittany Crabb, Nichele Kose, Joe & Lauren Jewell, Kyleigh Sackandy Carrelli, Erik Sackandy, Amy & Gabriel Bembenic and Mark & Nick Wruble), 14 great grandchildren and 1 sister (Diane Knarr & her husband Denny of Troutville, PA). He was preceded in death by a daughter (Sandra Jewell) and a grandson (Christopher Jewell) 5 brothers and 4 sisters.   6. Donald M. Okonski, age 72, DuBois, PA died Monday, December 21, 2020 at his home. Born on March 28, 1948, in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Edward M. and Lelia K. (Miller) Okonski. He was a 1966 graduate of DuBois Central Catholic and a 1971 graduate of Lock Haven University. On April 28, 1978 he married Sherry A. “Susie” (Jasper) Okonski. She preceded him in death on August 18, 2020. Don retired from the DuBois Area School District as a teacher after over 30 years of service. He, along with his wife was the owner /operator of Rosie’s Book Shop for many years. Don was a member St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. Don was also a longtime and active member of the DuBois Lion’s Club. Don is survived by his siblings; (Jon Ed Okonski of Bellefonte, PA, Justin Okonski and his wife, Janet of Pittsburgh, PA, Judith Catherman and her husband, Richard of Bellefonte, PA, Janice Fleming of DuBois, PA, and Patti Alvetro and her husband, Randy of DuBois, PA), 1 nephew (Henry Okonski of Pittsburgh, PA), 1 sister in law (Cheryl Baumgratz and her husband Carl, Jr. of St. Marys, PA and his mother in law (Belva Jasper of St. Marys, PA).   7. Gary R. Arblaster, Sr., age 81 of DuBois, PA died Monday, December 21, 2020 at his residence. Born on June 8, 1939 in Slippery Rock, PA, he was the son of the late Merle and Edith (Stillwagon) Arblaster. On April 8, 1967 he married his wife of 53 years, Carol Joyce (Tudor) Arblaster. She survives. Gary was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Corps of Operating Engineers as a heavy equipment operator. He continued as an equipment operator in civilian life for many years. He was also the owner/operator of Gary’s Garage at the triangle in Falls Creek, PA. He was a founding member of Shepherd’s Grace Chapel where he was very active in serving others through visitation. He was a member of the Beechwoods Antique Car Club, the Hormtown Rifle Club, and he loved to hunt. He was also an avid gun collector. Gary is survived by his children; (Reverend Jean A. Sands and her husband Reverend Gregory Sands of DuBois, PA, Gary R. Arblaster, Jr. and his wife Amy of Homer City, PA, and Michael W. Arblaster and his wife Jennifer of Latta, SC), 11 grandchildren; (Aleasha, Devin, Alexandra, Kailey, Matthew, Cooper, Samuel, Emma, Daniel, Benjamin and Caroline), 5 great grandchildren; (Alayna, Ayden, Ryan, Liam and Landyn) and 3 sisters; (Carole Wood, Barb Maxwell and Jan Ketler). He was preceded in death by 1 infant daughter (Sherry), 1 infant grandson (Matthew) and 1 infant great grandson (Mason). Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the DuBois Alliance Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gregory Sands officiating. Social distancing requirements will be followed and masks must be worn.   8. Mary Ann Reitz, age 80 of DuBois, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on October 1, 1940 in Brockport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ada (Silvis) Himes, Sr. On December 17, 1966 she married the love of her life, Richard Lee Reitz. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1993. Mary enjoyed every second she could spend with her family and was very proud of them. Her dog Sophie kept her company and never left her side. She was a woman of great faith. Those who knew her knew she always kept busy, whether it was outside doing yardwork or tending to housekeeping. She was always on the go. Mary enjoyed baking and cooking, word search puzzles, going for walks, and talking to friends and family on the phone. She will be greatly missed as she was the heart of the family. Mary is survived by two sons, Joseph (Sherri) Reitz and Brian (Brenda Gamble) Reitz both of DuBois, PA, three brothers; Wayne Himes of DuBois, PA, Calvin (Tracy) Himes of Brockway, PA and Joe (Wanda) Himes also of Reynoldsville, PA, four grandchildren; Tiffany (Steve) Mooney of Florida, Stephani (Brad) Walker, Shaylee Reitz and Danny (Lauren) Robinson all of Reynoldsville, PA, and eight great grandchildren; Camden, Logan, Wesley, Oakley, Nathan, Mason, Easton and Skyler. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Benjamin “Buck” Himes, Jr., Ozzie and Wesley Himes, two sisters Edna Himes and Nan Jamison, daughter Patti Zuccolotto and grandson Noah Reitz. Due to our current circumstances there will be no public visitation and a funeral service will be announced at a later date.   9. William C. Wallace, Jr., age 87 of DuBois, PA, died Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on November 28, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late William Charles and Anna (Wilson) Wallace, Sr. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. On February 2, 1957 he married Betty Jean (Lloyd) Wallace. She preceded him in death on November 30, 2018. Bill retired as District Sales Manager from Norfolk Southern Railroad in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Free and Accepted Masons. Bill is survived by his children; (Liz Wallace of Blairsville, PA, William C. Wallace III and his wife Alice of DuBois, PA and Michael E. Wallace and his wife Carol of Denver, PA), 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 brother (George Wallace of Cranberry, PA). He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Due to our current circumstances there will be no public visitation and services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.   10. Michael R. Ghezzi, Age 58 of Brockway, PA died Thursday, December 17, 2020 at his home. Born on January 27, 1962 in Laurel, Maryland, he was the son of Richard A. & Janice M. (Walk) Ghezzi. His father preceded him in death, his mother survives and lives in Reynoldsville, PA. He had made his home with Brenda L. Harris. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2020. Michael was a truck driver for Lansberry Trucking in Woodland, PA. In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by 3 sisters (Becky Brunswick, Joann Armagost, and Kathi Niver). He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Ghezzi. Due to our current circumstances, there will be no public visitation and funeral services will be held at a later date.   11. Robert Earl Kuntz, age 75 of DuBois, PA, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his home after a lengthy illness surrounded by family. Born on September 24, 1945 in Troutville, PA, he was the son of the late Earl F. and Ruth I. (Shugarts) Kuntz. On August 29, 1987 he married Kathleen V. Teufel. She survives. He was ordained a deacon in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie in May, 1998 and assisted at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church until 2009. He served as an on-call Chaplain at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital and more recently as a Chaplain at Christ The King Manor. He is survived by his daughter Kim (Jason) Youngdahl of Brockway, PA, son-in-law Kurt Meighen of DuBois, PA, stepdaughters Elaine (Charlie) Eckert of Coral Springs, FL, Lisa (William) Burke of Punxsutawney, PA and Diane Badger Smith of Falls Creek, PA and stepson David (Robin) Badger of DuBois, PA, 4 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 4 step great grandchildren, 1 sister Marilyn (Darrell) Haag of DuBois, PA and 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his daughter Wendy Meighen in 2017. There will be no public visitation and a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Social distancing requirements will be enforced and masks are to be worn in church. Burial will take place in St. Catherine Cemetery.   12. Patricia J. Gundrum, age 78 of Falls Creek, PA died Friday, December 18, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on August 20, 1942 in Brockway, PA, she was the daughter of the late Malone and Mary (Caruso) Yancey. On August 4, 1972 she married her husband of 48 years, Gene A. Gundrum. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2020. Pat retired from Varischetti Holdings where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for 12 years. Previous to that, she worked for the Falls Creek Borough form many years. She was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 965 in Falls Creek, PA. Pat loved to cook and bake and she especially loved the holiday season. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren Patricia is survived by her children; (Edward Mooney & his wife Angie of Marietta, GA, Christopher Mooney of Ford City, PA, Amy Straub & her husband Bob of Falls Creek, PA and Michael Mooney of Pittsburgh, PA), step daughter (Cathy Valant & her husband Larry of Portage, IN) 4 grandchildren; (Linsey Roy & her husband Austin, Jordan Straub & his wife Kari, Bailey & Griffin Mooney) 3 step grandchildren; (Christina Farrand, Crystal Sandrey & Brittany Valant), 8 great grandchildren (Ayden, Everleigh, Emmalyn, Bowen, Logan, Oliver, Lilly, & Jaxon), 2 sisters; (Mary Ann McClelland & her husband William of Falls Creek, PA and Sharon Kirkwood of Greensburg, PA) and 1 brother (Robert Yancey & his spouse Gus of Aventura, FL).   13. Mary Elizabeth “Bizz” Corby, age 74 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, OH. Born on July 12, 1946 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Mary (Michel) Hassan. She was a graduate of DuBois Central Catholic High School and the DuBois Business College. On August 27, 1966 she married her husband of 54 years, James A. Corby. He survives. Bizz had worked as a secretary at the Boy Scouts of America Service Center for many years. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. Bizz was an avid Pittsburgh Panther, Steeler, Pirate and Penguin fan and loved her pets. She enjoyed embroidery and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son (James H.   14. Crementine DeLarme, age 89 of DuBois, PA died Friday, December 18, 2020 at her home. Born on July 11, 1931 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Saraphina (Mauro) Marinoble. On October 13, 1951 she married her husband of 64 years, Dale A. DeLarme at St. Francis Church in Clearfield, PA. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2015. Crementine was a homemaker and along with her husband, operated Shadyside Farm in Brady Township. She was Catholic by faith. She loved her family and cherished her late-night gatherings with them.   15. Fred “Lawrence” Walker, age 87 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on May 8, 1933 in Sykesville, PA, he was the son of the late Fred R. and Mary E (Fox) Walker. He married Erma (Sherry) Walker. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2013. He then married Donna J. (Tudor) Gearhart Walker. She survives. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Lawrence was a self-employed mason for many years. He attended the DuBois Alliance Church. Above all, he loved being with his family and extended family. Lawrence is survived by 3 children; (Fred E. Walker & his wife Patricia of DuBois, PA, Charles E.   16. Anthony J. “Tony” Rasavage, age 83 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his home. Born on January 29, 1937 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony J. and Margaret (Radjekinis) Rasavage, Sr. Tony attended St. Joseph School then graduated in 1954 from the DuBois Area High School. On January 27, 1962 he married Irene M. (Berloffa) Rasavage. She survives. Tony was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Germany during the Korean War. He had worked in the accounting field as Vice President / Controller for EG &G in Washington, DC for 25 years. Tony retired in 1995 and returned to DuBois after having lived in Maryland, England, and West Virginia. Tony was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church where he was a cantor and member of the church choir. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 30 years, the former Lithuanian Independence Club, Knights of Lithuania Council #86 and he volunteered his time as a cook for outreach dinners. He was the President of the Sabula Outing Club, was a volunteer for the Bennett’s Branch Watershed Association and served on the Board of Director of Christ the King Manor for 8 years. Tony is survived by 3 children; (Edward Rasavage & his wife Nancy of Rockville, MD; Mark Rasavage of Gaithersburg, MD, and David Rasavage & his wife Joanna of Montgomery Village, MD), 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren & numerous nieces and nephews.   18. Lewis R. Saxton, Jr. age 76 of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA died Sunday, December 13, 2020 at his home. Born on May 18, 1944 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Lewis R. and Ruth (Wecker) Saxton, Sr. He married Penny (Cable) Saxton in 2002 at the Port Barnett United Methodist Church in Brookville, PA. Lewis retired as an electrician from the Riverside Division of Penn Traffic after many years of service. He was the owner of the former Bass & Bucks Sporting Goods Store in Home Camp. After his retirement, he was the co-owner of the Medix Hotel. After selling the Medix Hotel, he, along with his cousin, purchased the former Forest Way Inn in Brookville. After selling the Forest Way Inn, he and his wife Penny built & operated the Elk View Diner in Benezette for 14 years until his final retirement. Lewis is survived by 3 children; (Dawn, Dana & Wayne Saxton), 4 step children; (Tina Chillcott & her husband John, Bill Ramey & partner Kim Tharpe, Waylon Boyer and Angie Lahrman & her husband Bert), 1 sister (Marlene Mills), 6 grandchildren; (Stephanie Chambers & her husband Derek, Kiara Tharpe, Kairi Weible and Cadence, Spencer & Bryce Lahrman), 2 great grandchildren; (Bentley & Conner Chambers) and his faithful dog Jake.   20. Joanie Francis Harvey, age 67 of Rockton, PA passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Penn Highlands Hospital in Dubois, PA. Joanie was born on January 20, 1953 in Philipsburg PA. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin E and Verna L. (Lutz) Walstrom. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives and lives in Hollidaysburg, PA. She was a 1970 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School and a 1971 graduate of Pronto’s Beauty School in Altoona. On October 23, 1976 she married William Scott Harvey, her husband of 44 years, in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Houtzdale, PA. He survives. Joanie was a beautician and was the owner operator of Joan F. Harvey’s Beauty Shop in Rockton for over 40 years. She was a member of St. Catherine’s of Siena Roman Catholic Church in DuBois. She loved spending time with her family and was especially close to her grandchildren who all called her Mimi. Joanie was a caring and loving person that was always there for her entire family and consistently displayed a big heart by putting the needs of others before her own. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Joanie is survived by her daughter Breanne Lascoli and her husband Greg of Altoona, PA, son Bryant Harvey and his wife Nicole of Rockton, PA and grandchildren Brynly and Brekyn Lascoli and Kimber and Brytan Harvey.   22. Mary Beth Amilkavich, 64 of DuBois, PA passed away on Monday, December 7th, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital due to complications from COVID-19. Born on August 8, 1956, in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Ann E. (Allegro) Fragle. A lifelong resident of DuBois, Mary Beth graduated from Central Christian High School in 1974. Her career spanned from time behind the desk at the YMCA to the numerous departments at Riverside Warehouse. In recent years, she worked as an office assistant for Dr. Angelo Illuzzi at Penn Highlands Pulmonology. She was a hairdresser in her spare time. Most notably, and perhaps even more infamously, Mary Beth worked as a hair stylist at the Baronick Funeral Home, since its inception almost 25 years ago. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, baking, and most importantly, spending time with her family and friends. An avid sports fan, Mary Beth absolutely adored the Steelers and Penguins. She was an active member of the Friendship Ladies Auxiliary Hose Company #2. A devout Catholic, she belonged to St. Catherine’s of Siena Roman Catholic Church. Over the years she devoted her free time to volunteering for many activities relating to both of these organizations. We will always remember her smile, her warmth, her laugh, her love for life, and her friendships, many of whom over time became like family. She made a difference in the lives of so many. A In 1975, Mary Beth wed her husband of 45 years, Leo Charles Amilkavich. Together they raised four children. A lifetime of memories will continue to be treasured by her husband, Leo Charles; daughter and son- in-law, Carrie and Jon Tobin of DuBois; daughter and son-in-law Marcy and Robert Little of DuBois; daughter Elizabeth Amilkavich of New York, NY; son and daughter-in-law Leo James Amilkavich and Ashley of Ephrata, PA; beloved grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly, Maggie and Matthew Tobin; brother James Fragle and his wife Stephanie of DuBois; sister Toni Fragle of Olean, NY; sister Donna Fragle of New York, NY; along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and cherished friends. She was predeceased by sisters Paula Bukousky and T. Sue Fragle, as well as infant brother Patrick.   23. Constance A. Slusser, age 94 of DuBois, PA, formerly of Mountain Top, PA., died Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the DuBois Nursing Home. She had been a resident of DuBois Village since 2015. Born on July 13, 1926 in DuPont, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Dietz) Ritzie. She married William J. Slusser in September 1950. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2000. Constance was a homemaker and part time secretary for Crestwood School District and Wilkes College. An avid oil and acrylic painter, she completed 2 associate degrees in the arts and graphic design at Luzerne Community College, after age 55. Connie exhibited her paintings regularly and competed in many high level art competitions throughout eastern PA. She was an active member of the Wyoming Valley Fine Art League, serving as president for 12 years. She was an avid supporter of the Wyoming Valley Red Cross, working monthly blood drives for 35 years. Constance was Catholic, long time member of St. Jude’s Church, and served as President of the Altar and Rosary Society for many years. Connie and Bill, a World War II Pearl Harbor Survivor, traveled far and wide regularly attending many Pearl Harbor Survivor events, connecting with many friends, and even meeting President George Bush. Constance is survived by 1 daughter (Christine DeNapoli Michael & her husband Bob of DuBois, PA), 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 sister (May Jasczak, Edison, NJ). She was preceded in death by 1 brother, 2 sisters and their spouses. Constance was always happiest when all her immediate and extended family members would get together for the holidays. Born on July 21, 1937 in Cornwall, PA, he was the son of the late Harry and Mabel (Brenner) Gundrum, Sr. On August 4, 1972 he married Patricia (Yancey) Gundrum. She survives. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves. Gene retired as the Chief of Police from the Falls Creek Borough after 17 years of service. After retirement he worked at the DuBois Regional Medical Center Security Department for 23 years. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 965 in Falls Creek, PA and the Fraternal Order of Police. Gene is also survived by his children; (Cathy Valant & her husband Larry of Portage, IN, Edward Mooney & his wife Angie of Marietta, GA, Christopher Mooney of Ford City, PA, Amy Straub & her husband Bob of Falls Creek, PA, and Michael Mooney of Pittsburgh, PA) 7 grandchildren; (Linsey Roy & her husband Austin, Jordan Straub & his wife Kari, Bailey & Griffin Mooney, Christina Farrand, Crystal Sandrey & Brittney Valant) and 8 great grandchildren.   25. Kyle Keith Read, age 32 of Rockton, PA died December 3, 2020 at his home. Born on October 29, 1988 in DeLand, FL, he was the son of Sherri and David Ball of Rockton, PA and Daniel Read and his wife Laura of DuBois, PA. He is survived by his sister Kourtni Jacobs and her husband Christian of Rockton, grandmother Shirley Conrad of Rockton, grandmother Mary Ball of DuBois and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Kyle loved his music and DJ’ing for his friends. He was the life of the party. He also loved working in his garden, and riding his motorcycle. He had a very kind and sensitive heart, was fun loving with an energetic spirit. He also loved spending time with his family, friends, girlfriend Katrina, and was never without his beloved dog Loop. Kyle overcame many obstacles in his life including addiction and had many plans for a bright future. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Galon Conrad.
