  1. J. Patrick Kopp, Age 60. “Kindness is Free.” Born June 17, 1963, Patrick passed away at Penn Highlands DuBois in the early morning of July 22nd, feeling the love of his family, following a stroke. Pat was the son of the late Joseph Kopp and Maura Kopp (Dooney) of DuBois. Patrick was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and attended Penn State University. He was previously employed as a warehouse manager at Everything Under Foot and as a laborer at Owens-Brockway Glass. He is survived by brother Sean Kopp and his wife Jennifer (Figura), Kevin Kopp and his wife Debbie, sister Colleen Kopp and her husband Frank Rowland, niece Alex Kane (Kopp), her husband Brian Kane and great nephew Callan Kane, Erin Kopp and her fiancé, Dylan King. He was preceded in death by his loving father Joseph Kopp and little brother Brendan. Patrick loved life and everyone in it. He had a heart of gold and lived life like there was no tomorrow. In keeping with Patrick's generosity of spirit, it was his decision to offer the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.   2. Rico Franzoni, Jr., age 86 of Weedville, PA died Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Nelson’s Golden Years. Born on April 4, 1937 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Rico Franzoni, Sr. and Frances (DePaoli) Hedglin. On November 20, 1965 he married Yvonne Ann “Sissy” (Uberti) Franzoni. She preceded him in death on August 11, 2019. Rico was a veteran of the United States Army. He, along with his wife, had been the owners of Rico’s Big Trout Inn, Valley Laundromat, Rico’s Restaurant and Elk Back Bar, all in Elk County. Previous to that, he had worked at Stackpole Carbon in St. Marys for 21 years. Rico was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, The Bennett’s Valley Senior Center where he enjoyed having lunch, Penfield Firemen’s Club, Bennett’s Valley Rod & Gun Club and the Bennett’s Valley American Legion. He was also active in various organizations in St. Marys. Rico enjoyed going to breakfast with his friends and watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved to make wine, was an avid hunter, and liked to cook wild game for his friends at camp. Above all, he loved his family and following their many activities. Rico is survived by his two daughters (Rhonda M. Glass and her husband Rick of Weedville, PA and Renee A. Bogle and her husband George of St. Marys, PA, four grandchildren (Jordan and Justin Riccadonna and Robbie and Rachel Glass), two great grandchildren (Aria and Josie Riccadonna). He was preceded in death by one brother John Franzoni. There will be no public visitation and private funeral services will be held. Burial will take place in St, Joseph Cemetery, Force, PA. Joseph “Shawn” Rosman, age 55 of Falls Creek, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital with his son Ethan by his side after a long battle with cancer. Born on March 28, 1968 in Connellsville, PA, he was the son of Claron L. “Ron” and Maryann (Ballish) Rosman. They survive and live in DuBois, PA. Shawn had worked as a technician for Windstream for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his son. He especially loved riding and working on dirt bikes together with Ethan. Along with his parents, Shawn is survived by his son Ethan J. Rosman of Brockway, PA), one brother (Joshua Rosman and his wife Stacey of Somerset, PA) , one sister (Jodie Rosman of Reynoldsville, PA), nine nieces and nephews (Alexis, Abigail, Mia, Gianna, Joey, Teage, Elijah, Genevieve and Emma), as well as many other close family and friends. A private funeral service will be held from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.   4. Edward A. Lingenfelter, Jr., age 55 of DuBois, PA died Monday, July 10, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on July 7, 1968 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of Edward A. Lingenfelter, Sr. and his wife Cindy of Leechburg, PA and Constance L. (Hoskavich) Lingenfelter. His mother preceded him in death. Eddie was an avid hunter, loved riding his Harley Davidson and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his companion of over 20 years, Sarah Simanic, his daughter Megan Riley and his son Michael Lingenfelter all of DuBois, PA, nine grandchildren (Thomas, Aidan, Bryce and Hunter Riley, Lillyan, Olivia and Louella Lingenfelter and Carsen and Braelynn Delaney), siblings (Lisa Lingenfelter, twin sister Brenda Lingenfelter, Amy Powers and her husband Scott and Jason Lingenfelter), all of DuBois, PA. Born on April 7, 1968 in Dekalb, IL, she was the daughter of Thomas and Doris (Shepherd) Pile, Sr. of Bellingham, MA. Dorina was a homemaker.   6. Margaret A. “Peggy” Guido, Age 83 of DuBois, PA died Friday, July 7, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on June 5, 1940 in Force, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Charles & Pearl (Berti) DeLullo. On September 30, 1961, she married her husband of 61 years, Anthony S. Guido. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2022. Peggy was all about her family and caring for others. She centered her world around raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and learning new things. Peggy was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Margaret is survived by four children; John A. Guido and his wife Kelly of Flint Hill, VA, James P. Guido and his wife Dianne of Jupiter, FL, Mary Meredith and her husband Paul of DuBois, PA, and Margie Guido and her husband John Hawkins of Alexandria, VA, five grandchildren; Hannah, Weston, Liam, Erin and Renee. She was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters. There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 10 AM from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.   7. Sandra M. “Sandy” Gahr, age 81 of DuBois, PA died Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Christ the King Manor. Born on December 15, 1941 in St. Marys, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leo Hayes and Palma (Jeanette) Hayes Saline. On May 11, 1963 she married her husband of 60 years, John E. “Jack” Gahr. He survives. Sandy had worked as a waitress at Hoss’s Steak & Sea House. She also worked as a teacher’s aide at both Headstart and Paint n’ Play School. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. Sandy enjoyed playing Bunco and loved to hold gatherings in her home. Most of all, she loved following her family and all of their many activities and events. Sandy is survived by her three children (Jackie Allshouse and her husband Jerry of Butler, PA, Sean Gahr and his wife Brenda of DuBois, PA and Michele Gearhart and her husband Bob of DuBois, PA), six grandchildren (Amber Garrison (Jake), Jenessa Martin (Mike), Colton Gearhart (Rachel), Jeremiah Allshouse (Mackenzie), Lindsay Zimmerman (Bret) and Austin Gahr (McKenzie),seven great grandchildren (Evangeline, Oakleigh, Ryleigh, Bayleigh, Maverick, Micah and Connor), one sister (Nancy Swanson of Langhorne, PA) , one brother (George Saline and his wife Renee of Ridgway, PA) . She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather George Saline.   8. Patricia A. Schmidt Bartasavich Cousins, Age 76 of Freedom, PA, formerly of DuBois, PA, died Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at her home. Born on July 2, 1946 in Brookville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gerard A. & Catherine Mae (Schick) Schmidt. On May 5, 2006, she married Ralph Cousins. He survives. She was previously married to Donald Bartasavich. Pat was a 1964 graduate of DuBois Central Catholic High School. She is survived by her children; James Bartasavich & his wife Kim of both Durango, CO & Pittsburgh, PA, Francine Marofsky & her husband Michael of Cranberry Township, PA, and Daniel Bartasavich & his partner Duane Reed of Rehoboth Beach, DE, two grandchildren; Leah McCoy & her husband Corey of Cranberry Township, PA, and Nicholas Marofsky & his fiancé Jaime Gerst of Charlotte, NC, and a sister; Anita Tapper & her husband Donald of Florida. Pat was preceded in death by her siblings Cora Moore, Noreeta Clark, and James Case.   9. Helena M. Wallace, Age 85 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, June 27, 2023 in DuBois as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on August 31, 1937 in Tyler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Angela (Rizzo) Caruso. Helena retired from Bell telephone Company after 37 years of service. She was the first female installer and service technician in Clearfield County. Helena was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church where she was a devoted member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society and was always active in church affairs. She was a volunteer at the polish festival, was identified by her friends as the “queen” of nut roll sales, and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Helena was devoted to her faith and the Blessed Mother, praying the rosary daily. She loved all animals, especially her horses and black labs, and enjoyed bowling and baking. Above all, she loved her time with her family and friends. She is survived by three children; Jerry Wallace, Jr. of Treasure Lake, Angela Wallace of Fountain Hills, AZ, and Brenda Wallace of DuBois, PA, and a brother, James Caruso & his wife Gertie of St. Marys, PA. Helena was preceded in death by six brothers and six sisters. There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10 a.m. from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer, Fr. Ben Daghir, & Father Edward Walk con celebrating. The rosary will be prayed prior to mass at 9:30 a.m. in church led by the St. Michael Rosary Infant of Prague Society.   10. Barbara Ann Newell, Age 79 of DuBois, PA died Monday, June 26, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on March 3, 1944 in Ridgway, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Eleanor Gasbarre. On September 3, 1965, she married her husband of 57 years, Edward C. Newell. He survives. Barbara was a billing manager for Regional Obstetric Consultants in Jacksonville, Florida for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a graduate of Villa Maria College. Barbara was devoted to her family and treasured her time with them. She especially loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barbara is survived by four sons; Jonathan D. Newell & his wife Amy of Pittsburgh, PA, Stephen E. Newell & his wife Lesley of Jacksonville, FL, Michael B. Newell & his wife Miriam of Downingtown, PA, and Daniel R. Newell of DuBois, PA; six grandchildren, Shannon, Robert, Samantha, Megan, Christopher, and Daniel Newell, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Jayden, Wyatt, & Allison; and two brothers, Thomas Gasbarre & his wife Jennifer, and Louis Gasbarre & his wife Joyce.   11. Donald Wray Klingensmith, age 78 of Rochester, MI passed away on March 16, 2023. He was the loving husband of Marlene (Gustafson) Klingensmith. They would have been married 57 years this August. Donald was a veteran of the United States Army. He served his country for three years. He liked to watch his Michigan sports teams, but above all, he loved spending time with his family. Donald is survived by his children Jason (Leslie) Klingensmith, Shane (Melissa Maguran) Klingensmith, grandchildren (Dean, Paige, Rex and Ruby Klingensmith), siblings Betty Johnson, Mabel (Dyke) Farrow, Mary Ann (Leo) Ferraro and Barbara Horner, sister-in-law (Pat Klingensmith), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother (Bob Klingensmith), and one sister (Marilyn Stewart), and brothers-in-law (Donald Johnson, Ronald Stewart and James Horner).   12. Murray D. Reasinger, Age 75 of Punxsutawney, PA, formerly of DuBois, PA died Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA. Born on October 7, 1947 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late James & Martha Ball Reasinger. He was married to Judith Keagle Reasinger. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2008. Murray retired from Sensus Metering in DuBois after over 40 years of service. He is survived by a daughter, Dawn Reasinger of Punxsutawney, PA and a sister, Mary Jane Muth of DuBois, PA.   13. Joseph J. Bussard, Age 51 of Falls Creek, PA died Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born on March 10, 1972, in DuBois, PA, he was the son of Paul and Karen E. (Nasuti) Anderson. They survive. Joe was a 1991 graduate of the Brockway High School. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan. He especially liked the Oakland A’s and loved the Philadelphia Eagles. He had worked at Sensus Metering and in food service. Joe is survived by 2 brothers; Brian Anderson & his wife Miranda of Falls Creek, PA, and Robert Anderson & his wife Summer of DuBois, PA; a niece, Autumn; a nephew, Heath; as well as other extended family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph & Florence Nasuti.   14. Susan L. Porrin, age 57 of Falls Creek, PA died Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on February 11, 1966 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of David and Nancy (Emerick) Porrin, Sr. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives and lives in Falls Creek, PA. Susan had worked in the Dietary Department at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital for the past 33 years. She was a member of the Falls Creek Eagles Aerie 965. Susan enjoyed going to music concerts, her favorite band was AC/DC. Susan is also survived by one son (Michael Porrin of Falls Creek, PA) and six siblings (Ronald Porrin and his wife Renee, William Porrin and John Porrin, all of Falls Creek, PA, Sharon Lingenfelter of Reynoldsville, PA, Diana Gilbert and her husband Tom and Ruth Ann Strosky and her husband Tom both of DuBois, PA). She was preceded in death by one brother (David Porrin, Jr.) and one nephew (T.J. Strosky). Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.   15. Alfred L. “Al” (“Nib”) Stoddard, Sr., age 86 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at his home. Born on November 3, 1936 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Easton and Cora (Marsh) Stoddard, Sr. On November 1, 1958 he married his wife of 64 years, Judy E. (Hoskavich) Stoddard. She survives. Al had worked as a flagman for H.R.I. in State College, PA for 32 years. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. “Nib” was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF). He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by three brothers (Easton, Jr., James and Kenneth Stoddard) and one sister (Dolly Hand).   16. Patrick R. Mooney, Jr., Age 84 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born January 14, 1939 in McKeesport, PA, he was the son of the late Patrick and Marcella (Simon) Mooney, Sr. On June 13, 1964, he married his wife of 59 years, Virginia (Adams) Mooney. Virginia continues to live her life in ways that represent and honor Patrick's values and philosophies. Patrick graduated from Turtle Creek High School in 1956. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Slippery Rock University in 1960. He completed his Master's in Education and Curriculum Development in 1983 from the University of Massachusetts. Patrick and Virginia moved to Northfield, Massachusetts in 1968 to teach and coach at the Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) preparatory school. In 1995, the Mooney's returned to Pennsylvania. Patrick completed his stellar career at Clarion University. Patrick retired in 2005. Patrick's career included being the Mathematics Department Head and Math teacher at in the McKeesport School District in McKeesport, PA. He was the Dean of Students, a Math and Physical Education teacher, the Head Coach of the Men's Cross Country and Track teams, and the Varsity Women's Basketball coach at NMH. While at Clarion University, he became the first Full Time Men's and Women's Cross Country, Indoor Track and Track and Field coach. He was the United States National Women's Lacrosse team Strength and Condition coach. This lacrosse team went on to win a world championship in Australia in 1989. His coaching philosophy could be considered basic in nature. He encouraged everyone to "show up every day, give it 100% and enjoy the things that you are doing". Patrick was an accomplished coach, educator and a powerful mentor to countless students and athletes. Patrick's career is a litany of successes and accomplishments. His resume of success included a 77% winning record as a high school coach. Among other championship wins, he led the NMH Boy's Cross Country Teams to the New England Prep School Championships and won 12 times. He has been inducted into 5 different Athletic Hall of Fames; the most recent Hall of Fame induction was at Clarion University in 2022. Patrick has lived an extraordinary life filled with love, adventure, laughter and learning. He leaves a legacy of compassion, respect and kindness that spans generations. He is survived by his daughter, Bridget Mooney, two grandchildren, Jared Patrick David Doutt & his wife Danielle, and Jemma Rose Mooney Bryan, and a sister, Judith Sparlin & her husband Michael.   17. Vickie Lois Motherwell, Age 76 of DuBois, PA died Saturday, June 10, 2023 at her home. Born on July 14, 1946 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late James M. Harriger and Delores (Gaudino) Harriger Gresak. On October 4, 1969, she married her husband of 53 years, Donald R. Motherwell. He survives. Vickie was a homemaker and retired in 2007 from Clearfield-Jefferson Mental Health Center. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling, crafting, and reading. Vickie loved her iPad but, above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Piper.   18. Patricia A. “Pat” Bearfield, age 84 of Brockport, PA died Thursday, June 8, 2023 at McKinley Health Center in Brookville, PA. Born on May 29, 1939 in Sykesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Katherine (Kosko) Sperling. On July 25 1958 she married her husband of 64 years, Iser M. ”Ike” Bearfield. He survives. Pat was a homemaker. She was a 1957 graduate of Sykesville High School and a member of St. Tobias Roman Catholic Church. Pat loved to work in her flower garden and go shopping. She is survived by her daughters (Deborah Krach of Reynoldsville, PA and Lurette Buckvich and her husband David of Luthersburg, PA), four grandchildren ( Dana Drake, Lara Hoffman, and Robert and Devanie Krach), and three great grandchildren (Bobby Krach, Jr. and Levi and Waylen Drake).   19. Jacquelyn F. “Jackie” Bowers, age 91 of Reynoldsville, PA died Monday, June 5, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on June 22, 1931 in Reynoldsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Viola (Palaggo) Fusco. Jackie retired from S & T Bank in Reynoldsville as Assistant Branch Manager after over 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Marys Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a former volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Mobile. Jackie enjoyed reading, bingo, gambling and going out to eat. She looked forward to any social gathering, and always wore her “bling”. Jackie was a devoted mother, and Nonnie. She had great faith in God and always held concern for her family and friends. She shared in their sorrows as well as their triumphs. Jackie is survived by her children (Debbie Lyle and her husband Tim, Diane Flock and her husband Doug, and David Bowers and his wife Beth, all of Reynoldsville, PA), eight “favorite” grandchildren Carrie Webb (Dave), Ryan Lyle (Blanca), Michael Flock (Ali), Andrew Flock (Emily), Nathan Flock (Maitland), Shannon Blakley (Ben), Joshua Bowers (Kristy) and Nicholas Bowers, nine great grandchildren (with three more on the way) Parker, Blanca, Hadley, Kennedy, Blake, Rocco, Connor, Morgan and Memphis, a sister-in-law Madeline Fusco; nephews Steven McDonald, Scott McDonald and Marc Fusco, and many very special cousins and friends.   20. Tina Anne Cunningham, age 67 of DuBois, PA died Monday, June 5, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on February 11, 1956 in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Ruby R. (Finley) Arnett. She married Harry L. Cunningham in 1979. He survives. Tina was a homemaker and had worked as an insurance agent for Heacock Insurance in Lakeland, FL. While in Florida, Tina enjoyed going to cars shows with her husband and their 1935 Ford Coupe. Above all, she loved being with her family. She is survived by one daughter (Kristie Botkins and her husband Dustin of DuBois, PA), three grandchildren (Jaden, Sophia and Lyndon), two great grandchildren (Issabella and Talia) and a great grandchild due in November.   21. Charlotte F. McCluskey, age 80 of DuBois, PA, an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died Friday, June 2, 2023 at Christ the King Manor. She was born on December 12, 1942 in DuBois, PA, the daughter of the late Michael and Angeline C. (Yonushonis) Pusch. Charlotte graduated from DuBois Area High School before leading a life that would take her all over the United States including living the majority of her adult life in Maryland and then Mission Viejo, CA before retiring in the DuBois area. She graduated college with a degree in Geology from California State Fullerton University and worked in Human Resources for a company in Irvine, CA. Charlotte was a very kind, caring person who would do absolutely anything for her family and close friends. She will be forever remembered by those close to her. She was very well known for her incredible cross-stitching which was praised by many. She is survived by her three children; Matt McCluskey, Fred McCluskey, and Erin McCluskey, along with six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one brother Michael Pusch.   22. Joseph E. Masonis, Jr., Age 53 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on November 23, 1969 in DuBois, PA. he was the son of Joseph E. Masonis Sr. of DuBois, PA and Karen L. (Beam) Henry of Rockton, PA. Joe was a well-known car salesman in our area for many years and was a bartender at the Friendly Tavern and the Pulaski Club as well as other establishments around DuBois. He was a member of the Sandy Hose Company # 1 Fireman's Club and the Curwensville Moose Club. Joe loved participating in fantasy sports leagues with his family and friends and loved to go for Sunday car rides with Sandy. Joe was a well know, loveable guy with a quick wit and infectious smile. He will be missed by all but his legacy will live on thru organ donation. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a fiancé, Sandy Bailor of DuBois, PA and her children Joshua & Danielle, a brother, Jamey Masonis & his fiancé Charleen of DuBois, PA , his step-father Mark Henry of Rockton, PA, a niece Morgan, and a nephew Derek.   23. Mike Sackash, age 95 of Sykesville, PA died Saturday, May 20, 2023 at his home. He was born on May 17,1928 in Hastings, PA, the son of the late Mike and Anna (Bodner) Sackash. On June 17, 1950, he married his wife of 64 years, Mary Lou (Crooks) Sackash. Mike was in the U.S. Navy, based in Banana River, Florida. After the Navy, he worked at L.B. Smith and Company in Sykesville until 1968 when he began working at Berg Electronics in Clearfield, PA. The company was purchased by DuPont and Mike continued working there until his retirement in 1991. Mike was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Sykesville. He was an active community member of the Sykesville Lion’s Club, a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader, a Little League Coach, and supported Teener and Federation Ball teams in the Sykesville Area. He managed the Sykesville Town Hall for many years. He was the Sykesville Man of the Year in 1977. Mike is survived by a son, Michael, of Houston, TX and granddaughters, Erin Sackash Duncan and her husband, Vincent Duncan (Dallas, TX) and Jill Sackash Maynard and her husband Richard Maynard (Richmond, TX). Great grandchildren Jake Maynard, Dax Maynard, Audrey Duncan, Catherine Duncan and Reese Duncan, one daughter, Marsha Sackash, of Boalsburg, PA, and son, Mark Sackash, and his wife, Lorraine (Sample) of DuBois, PA, grandsons, Mark J. Sackash, Jr. and wife Kendra of Katy, TX and Jed Sackash of DuBois, PA, great grandchildren Kaelyn and Kellyn Sackash, and his sisters, Catherine Butkewich of Sykesville and Lillian Gilga of Sykesville. Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou, and nine of his siblings, Anna Foradori, Dorothy Rimer, Sophie Kennis, Verna Minns, George Sackash, Mary Gresock, Dolly Pindrock, Henry (Sonny) Sackash, and Eugene (Butch) Sackash. His passions in life were his family, the community, gardening, Penn State Football, golfing, church, hunting and fishing.   24. George T. Neilson, Age 91 of DuBois, PA died Friday, May 19, 2023 at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA. Born on August 11, 1931 in Akron, OH, he was the son of the late Peter H. & Lena A. (Gearhart) Neilson. On February 20, 1960, he married Laurinda J. Schmuck Neilson. She preceded him in death on , March 30, 2015. George was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from the Brockway Glass Company in 1996 and previous to that had worked at Osburn Machine Shop for 18 years. George was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Brookville. He enjoyed reading his bible and above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. George is survived by his children; Callie Alta Lynch and her husband, Patrick of Smyrna, GA, Jorja Yasovsky of DuBois, PA and Paul E. Neilson and his wife, Yvonne of Ridgway, PA; 8 grandchildren; Malorie, Corey, Brandon, Stephanie, Caitlyn, Andrew, Abby, and Erin; & three great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Milo and Luna.   25. James W. “Jim” Wilbert, age 82 of DuBois, PA died Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Christ the King Manor. Born on May 25, 1940 in Cabot, PA, he was the son of the late Earl J. and Catherine (McGee) Wilbert. On November 5, 1994 he married Barbara J. Tubbs Hanes Wilbert. She survives. Jim retired in 1981 from Pullman Standard in Butler, PA after 19 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. Jim was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 519, a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post #17 , and the James J. Patterson Post # 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Jim belonged to the Pulaski Club and the Olympic Athletic Club as well as several other clubs in our area. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his four-wheeler. He is survived by his children (James “Wil” Wilbert of Sarasota, FL, Julie Wilbert of Butler, PA, and Jackie Johnson of Kingsport, TN), step children (Deneen M. Hanes and her husband John of DuBois, PA, John F. Hanes and his wife Rhonda of Winston-Salem, NC and Diane McMahon and her husband Tom of DuBois, PA), four grandchildren (Helen Marie, Alisa, Amber and Anna), six step grandchildren (Dylan, Erin, MacKenzie, Elle, Shae and Rafael), four great grandchildren, two sisters( Dorothy Duffy and Carolyn McGrady), and two brothers (Tom and Denny Wilbert).
