  1. Marion Leroy Estes, Jr., Age 69 of DuBois, PA died Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Specialty Select Hospital in Johnstown, PA. Born on March 31, 1955 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was the son of Marion L. and Doris (Davis) Estes, Sr. his father preceded him in death, his mother survives and lives in Allentown, PA. On August 29, 2009, he married his best friend, Nowanda (McGee) Estes. She survives. Leroy loved music, playing his guitar, and cheesecake. He is survived by his step children, (Jahad Morgan of Virginia, Rickey McGee of Georgia, and Melvina Middleton of DuBois, PA), five step grandchildren (Danasha, Tiara, Aaliyah, Gabriella, and Anthony Middleton, III), three brothers (Gary, Carl, and Roland Estes), and a sister (Dora Underwood). He was preceded in death by his brother (Rodney Estes). Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.   2. Bruce W. Harvey, Age 64 of Falls Creek, PA died Thursday, June 6, 2024 at his home. Born on February 5, 1960 in Sykesville, PA, he was the son of the late William and Barbara (Smyers) Harvey. On June 21, 1991 he married his wife of 33 years, Kathleen Johnston Harvey. She survives. While attending Jeff Tech, Bruce began working part time at Symco in Sykesville. After graduation, he became a full -time employee and retired from Symco after an over 35-year career as a machinist. Bruce loved the outdoors, camping, and his dogs. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Heidi Harvey of DuBois, PA, and her family, Glenn Deasey, Sarah Hammer, and Eric Boring. He was preceded in death by his brother Keith Harvey.   3. Robert M. Gressler, age 85 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on July 21, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Robert S. and Anna T. (Monkiewicz) Gressler. On June 18, 1960 he married Helen Jean (Tharp) Gressler. She preceded him in death on June 2, 2011. Bob was a graduate of Duquesne University, then went on to serve in the United States Air Force. After serving in the Air Force, he became an agent for the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Falls Creek. Bob enjoyed fishing, especially on trips to Northern Ontario, Canada with his wife, was an avid guitar player, enjoyed music, and was a fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams. Bob is survived by his three sons (Robert J. Gressler and his wife Tammy and James E. Gressler, both of DuBois, PA and Steven P. Gressler and his wife Laurie of Erie, PA), six grandchildren (Michael, Kasey, Vincent, Bradley, Benjamin and Jacob), and four great grandchildren (Ava, Addison, Wesley and Charlotte). He was preceded in death by two brothers (Ronald and Matthew). Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 5 - 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 10 AM from Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Parish at St. Bernard with Father Edward Walk as celebrant.   4. Peter Waddell, age 89 of DuBois, PA died Friday, May 31, 2024 at his home. Born on November 3, 1934 in Breslau, Germany, he was the son of the late Harry and Hildagard ( Peisker) Waddell. Peter was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War. He married Carole (Howton) Waddell. She preceded him in death. Peter retired from Sierra Pacific Power Company in Reno, NV after over 30 years of service. He was a man of God with a strong devotion to his family. Peter is survived by his two children (Brad Waddell and his wife Christine of DuBois, PA, and Debby McCraw of Littleton, CO), a step brother Harry "Butch" Waddell of St. Louis, MO, four grandchildren (Megan, Joshua, Heather, and Kelly, and three great grandchildren (Raven, Serenity and Oliver). He was preceded in death by one sister (Hilga). There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place in Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.   5. Barbara A. Pasi, age 81 of Falls Creek, PA died Thursday, May 30, 2024 at her home. Born on November 26, 1942 in Ridgway, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clarabelle (Bassetti) Pasi. Barbara had worked as the Dietary Manager at Highlandview Healthcare in Brockway, Ridgeview in Curwensville, and Brookside in Brookville. She was also the former owner of Pasi Inn in Crenshaw. She was a member of the Sandy Club and enjoyed camping. Barbara is survived by her children (Christine Powers and her husband Earl of DuBois, Robin Grecco and her husband Bruce of Brockway, Jaci Smith and her husband Todd of Falls Creek, John Pyne and his wife Karrie of DuBois, and Eric Pyne of Falls Creek, seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.   6. Helen L. Reynolds, age 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 31, 2024. She passed away peacefully at her home in Sykesville surrounded by family. She was born on October 22, 1928 in Soldier, PA, daughter of Enoch and Cora (Fye) Yohe. A graduate of Sykesville High School. In 1947, she married Paul (Ted) Reynolds who preceded her in death in 1987. She worked 29+ years as a nurses-aide at Maple Avenue and DuBois Hospitals. She faithfully attended Punxsy Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church. Helen loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and ability to put other’s needs before her own. She is survived by four children. Son, Bob (Jo Ann) Reynolds, Alliance, OH; three daughters, Judy (Jim) Kramer, Sykesville; Shirley (Rev. Michael) Ryan, Jamestown, TN; and Elaine (Sonny) Smith, Mercer, PA, five grandchildren: Amy Hall, Jodi (John) Coots, Jeffrey (Tara) Kramer, Wesley (Laura) Smith, Chad (Kadie) Smith, and nine great grandchildren: McKenna, Lily, Spencer, Max, Caleb, Austin, Alana, Sierra, and Brooklyn. She is survived by two brothers: Raymond and Russell Yohe, both of Reynoldsville, and a sister Irma (Don) Swab of Erie. She was preceded in death by brothers: Robert and infant Irvin, three sisters: Ruth Yohe, Betty Henneman and Doris Zellers, and daughter-in-law Patti Reynolds. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 11 AM – I PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., followed by a funeral service at 1 PM from the funeral home with Reverend Paul Houseworth officiating.   7. Janice M. Fleming, Age 72 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on September 7, 1951 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lelia (Miller) Okonski. Janice was married to Thomas Fleming. He preceded her in death. Janice attended the Pennsylvania State University. She lived most of her adult life in California before returning to her hometown of DuBois. Janice was a kind and creative soul. She is survived by four siblings ( Judy Catherman & her husband Richard, and Jon Ed Okonski, both of Bellefonte, PA, Patti Alvetro and her husband Randy of DuBois, PA, and Justin Okonski and his wife Janet of Pittsburgh, PA), a nephew (Henry Okonski), and two step sons (Nicholas and Jamian Fleming). Janice was preceded in death by her brother (Don Okonski) and her sister (Joan Kilmer) There will be no public visitation.   8. Linda L. Miceli, age 82 of DuBois, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27 2024 at the home of her son in Erie, PA. Linda led a life filled with love, service, and dedication to her family and community. Born on February 25, 1942 in Greenville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Helen (Ross) Sheen. A lifelong nurse, Linda dedicated her career to caring for others, retiring from Christ the King Manor in 2021 after many years of compassionate service. Her commitment to her profession and the well-being of her patients and nurse’s aide students was truly remarkable. Linda was a devoted member of Holy Spirit Parish (Saint Catherine Church), where she served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, sharing her faith and kindness with her church family. Her spirituality and service were central to her life, and she found great joy in her church community. In addition to her nursing career and church activities, Linda enjoyed playing mahjong with friends and staying active through various part-time jobs. She worked as a school nurse at DuBois Central Catholic and as a security guard at Treasure Lake, always finding ways to contribute and stay engaged. Linda's warmth, generosity, and dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be part of her life. Linda was first married to Bobby Roy Eary, with whom she had three children who survive: Laune Eary, Lisa McCarty, and Delores Miceli. Later, she found love again with Samuel Miceli, and together they had one son, Fr. Ross R. Miceli. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Gene, Bob, and Kelly Eary. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.   9. Robert W. Hand Jr., age 71, of DuBois, PA, died on Saturday, May 25, in Greensburg, PA, surrounded by his loved ones. Born August 14, 1952, in DuBois, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Lily M. (Shaddock) Hand Sr. Bob retired as an over-the-road truck driver. He was a life member of the Volunteer Hose Co. #1 and a past member of the Teamsters Local #30. Bob is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Sue Hand Cole and her husband, Michael Cole, of Jeannette, PA, and his sister, Coleen K. Moses of Palmetto, GA. Bob was a devoted father and a friend to many. He was known by many nicknames such as "Tiny" and "Big Bill." His favorite nickname by far though was "Daddy," given to him by his daughter. He loved nature and animals. He enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles with friends. There will be no public visitation. A celebration of life will be held on July 27, 2024 at Volunteer Hose Co. #1.   10. Linda S. Hoffman, age 74 of Brockway, PA died Monday, May 27, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on April 21, 1950 in Kittanning, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Virginia (Lang) Cox. On February 14, 1991 she married her husband of 33 years, James D. Hoffman. He survives. Linda retired from O’Bryon Eye Associates after many years of service. She was a longtime member of Tri County Church where she most enjoyed spending time with her small group. Linda loved gardening, mowing grass and loved all dogs, especially hers. She also enjoyed painting and sewing. Above all, Linda was a people person that loved spending time with her family and friends. Along with her husband, Linda is also survived by one daughter (Tina Martin and her husband Brian of DuBois, PA) one granddaughter (Brittany Stanton and her husband T.J. of DuBois, PA), her collie “Lucky”, and two brothers (Richard Cox and his wife Kathy of Butler, PA and Samuel Cox, Jr. and his wife Das of AZ). Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 3 – 5 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will follow at 5 PM from the funeral home with Pastor Chris Trethewey officiating. Burial will take place in Temple Cemetery.   11. Mary E. Novario, Age 77 of Pittsburgh, PA died Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Family Hospice in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on September 23, 1946 in DuBois, PA , she was the daughter of the late Ollivio C. and Rita A. (DiFabio) Novario. On July 7, 1979, she married her husband of 44 years, David S. Phillips. He survives. She was a 1964 graduate of the DuBois Area High School and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Duquesne University. Mary retired as an elementary school teacher after over 30 years of service from the Pittsburgh Public School District. She taught in Belmar and John Minadeo Elementary Schools and was a member of the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers. Mary was a member of St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church in Pittsburgh. She loved gardening, crafting and being surrounded by children and her family. Mary loved people and was often a friend to the friendless. In addition to her husband David, she is survived by her children (Matthew Phillips and Laura Phillips and her husband Isaac Beachy, both of Pittsburgh, PA), two grandchildren (Cadwallon Phillips and Lupin Beachy-Phillips), and siblings (Rita Gutowski and Thomas Novario , both of DuBois, PA, and Anita Novario-Tate and her husband Samuel of Adams Basin, NY). She was preceded in death by her brother (Father Ollivio “Nick” Novario) and brother-in-law (Fran Gutowski). There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 10 a.m. from Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Parish at St. Catherine of Siena with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.   12. Dolores “Gigi” Bargerstock, Age 91 of DuBois, PA died Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born May 22, 1933 in Punxsutawney, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth “Betty” Campagnoli. On May 27, 1961, she married her husband of almost 63 years, John Ord “Jack” Bargerstock. He survives. Gigi retired from the S&T Bank after 18 years of service as a teller. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church where she had taught confirmation and was a money counter. Gigi was a member of the former Lithuanian Independence Club Auxiliary and when her children were young, she was active in both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She loved to bake, make candy, and share her treats with everyone. Above all else, she loved her time with her family and friends. Gigi is survived by three children (John Ord Bargerstock, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Falls Church, VA, Jerry Bargerstock of DuBois, PA , and Cathy Bargerstock and her husband Matthew Delia of Sykesville, MD), three grandchildren (Jack, Max, and Veronica), two step grandchildren (Scotty and Ben), a step great grandchild (Bethany), and two sisters (Mary Ellen David of Texas, and Jean Balarillo of Florida). She was preceded in death by her brother(Robert Campagnoli), and her sister (Jane Monroe).   13. Rodger “Rod” S. Bowers, Age 94 of Reynoldsville, PA died Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital. Born on November 8, 1929 in Big Run, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence and Olivette (Sones) Bowers. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Korean War. Rod married Judith A. (Umbaugh) Bowers. She preceded him in death on September 13, 2021. Rod retried from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company as a manager. He was a fantastic wood worker and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Rod is survived by his children (Debbie Lyle and her husband Tim, Diane Flock and her husband Doug, and David Bowers and his wife Beth, all of Reynoldsville, PA), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and his step children (Jeffrey Gordon and his wife Tracy of Brookville, PA and their family, Zachary, Lucas, Haley, and Sydney, and Jennifer L. Swartz and her husband Tim of Odessa, FL and their family Michael and Shannon). He was preceded in death by his brother (Danny Bowers).   14. Charlene Shangraw, age 89, of DuBois, PA, died Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Christ The King Manor. Charlene was born in southern Ohio on October 12, 1934, to the late Ora and Faye (Capper) Montgomery. After her mother's untimely passing, she was raised by her Uncle Joseph and Rachael Wall. Charlene always enjoyed hospitality. She was the food and beverage director of several private clubs throughout central Pennsylvania. She managed the dining room and special events at the Ross Club in Williamsport and the Treasure Lake Country Club in DuBois, PA. Charlene was also a member of the Ladies of the Lake in Treasure Lake and the Treasure Lake Church in DuBois, PA. She enjoyed volunteering with the church's daycare program. Charlene is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bragonier of Lexington, KY., and son, Robert Maynard (Shannon) of DuBois, PA; her stepchildren, Nancy Desantis (Denny), Susan Shangraw, and David Shangraw of Williamsport, PA; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert Shangraw, and her first husband, James Russell Maynard. Charlene was also preceded in death by her sons, Brent Russell Maynard and James Allen Maynard; stepson, Douglas Shangraw; two sisters Geneva Hayes and Darlene Wall; three brothers Bernard, Franklin "Hank" and William Ernest Montgomery; two brother-in-laws Berkley Hayes and Donald Wall; and her sister-in-law Hazel (Mash) Montgomery. Visitation will be held at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., 211 South Main Street, DuBois, PA., on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. A funeral service for Charlene will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Dick Whitaker officiating. A Committal Service will follow at 2 p.m. at Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, PA, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Dr. Robert Shangraw, and son, James Allen Maynard.   15. Ralph E. Laukitis, age 99 of DuBois, PA died Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on August 6, 1924 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Marcella (Aravich) Laukitis. On May 3, 1947 he married his wife of 70 years Irene (Jenitis) Laukitis. She preceded him in death on October 4, 2017. Ralph proudly served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II as a Corporal in the 34th Red Bull infantry division. He was part of the Anzio, Rome-Aron, North Apennines, and Po Valley Campaigns in Italy, and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medals. Ralph was among the selfless individuals of the era that truly defined the “Greatest Generation”. He retired in 1988 from Rockwell International Manufacturing after 42 years of service. Ralph was a life member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, the Lithuanian Independence Club and was a past member and employee of the DuBois Country Club. Ralph was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He loved camping, hunting, hiking, observing wildlife, and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of being out in nature. Ralph was also active in karate for over 20 years. above all, he was a dedicated father to his children and was his family’s hero. Ralph is survived by his children (Karen Doane of Lancaster, PA, Ken Laukitis and his wife Brenda of Brockway, PA and Michael Laukitis and his wife Tammy of Ruckersville, VA), ten grandchildren (Michael, James, Lisa, Robert, David, Christina, Jessica, Adam, Shawn, and Stephanie), numerous great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter (Debbie), his son (Daniel), three sisters (Ann Lommock, Gertrude Amilkavich, and Leona Lesky), two brothers (Bernard and Paul Laukitis), two infant siblings (Octavia and Charles) and one son in law (James Doane).   16. Phyllis A. Utzinger, age 93 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at her home. Born on April 6, 1931 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Mae (Smith) Leach. On July 14, 1951 she married William H. Utzinger. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2013. Phyllis had worked at United Cerebral Palsy then Goodwill Industries for many years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist in Sykesville, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and loved to go camping. Phyllis, along with the husband Bill, enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers of all shapes and sizes and have an extensive collection. She had also loved to roller skate, but above all, she most loved her time with her family. She is survived by a son (William R. Utzinger and his wife Rosie of Oil City, PA), 3 daughters (Judy M. Fields; Wanda J. Armagost and her husband Samuel; and Kathy A. Utzinger, all of DuBois, PA), eight grandchildren (Irene, Amanda, Marita, Venessa, Stacey, Crystal, Eric, and Heather), thirteen great grandchildren (Liam, Norah, Charlie, Bear, Atticus, Arcadia, Ansen, Cohen, Hudson, Korra, Rowan, Nola, and Kendall), a brother (Vernon Leach and his wife Doris), and two sisters (Sandra Hatten and her husband Norman, and Donna Ellenberger). She was preceded in death by her son in law (Ray Fields) and numerous brothers and sisters.   17. Robert "Bob" J. Terepan, 77, Reynoldsville (formally of Manville, NJ) passed away peacefully on Friday evening, May 3, 2024 at DuBois Nursing Home. Born the last of 7 children on March 30, 1947 in Manville, NJ to Nicholas and Mary (Shalata) Terepan. Bob graduated Manville High School in 1967, then worked for the Johns Manville Asbestos Plant for a year before enlisting in the Army in 1968. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era in the 5th Battalion, 38th Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division stationed in South Korea. He was honorably discharged in May of 1974. Bob was Greek Catholic by faith and a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Manville and a member of the Greek Catholic Union. He was a life member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh VFW Post 2290 in Manville, NJ. Bob held the same position in the Maintenance Dept at Devro Inc in Somerville, NJ for 34 years until his retirement in 2004. He received bonuses each year for perfect attendance. Bob was a true handyman and jack of all trades. He enjoyed remodeling his home on the weekends and was skilled in electrical, plumbing, drywall and even made some pieces of furniture. In 2007, Bob and his sister moved to Reynoldsville, PA to be closer to his niece and her family and enjoy retirement. In his spare time, Bob loved watching Western movies especially John Wayne and listening to his favorite singer Hank Williams. An avid reader, Bob had at one time his own library consisting of over 3000 books. Bob is survived by his niece, Irene & John "Choo" Ferra of DuBois, PA and nephew, James Abood of Forked River, NJ, and several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by three brothers, William, Daniel, and John Terepan and three sisters, Helen Markunas, Bernadine Abood and Marian Terepan. There will be no visitation and a private funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Father Vasyl Banyk officiating.   18. Ashlynn Jean Niver, age 12 of Luthersburg, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Ashlyn was born on October 30, 2011 in Punxsutawney, PA. Ashlynn was an avid reader and a straight “A honor student” at the DuBois Middle School. She wrote and told many, many original stories. She loved telling jokes and playing practical jokes. She was a member of the flute section of the school band plus had private violin lessons. She loved the outdoors for biking, camping, zip lining, swimming, rock climbing, and fishing. AJ was a very imaginative soul who made dragon puppets then made Tik Tok videos playing out her creative stories. She was a prankster who enjoyed startling others but was easily startled herself. She often teased Papa about being bald (even though he isn’t) then would tip his hat off his head and put it on followed by a belly laugh. She loved anything related to Transformers, scary movies, and had a huge plushy collection. She had many school and neighborhood friends plus a special cousin she would have over to our home for sleepovers making puppets, tie dyeing, roller skating, Fun Central, and shopping excursions. She will be SADLY MISSED and forever DEEPLY LOVED by her many family members and friends. Ashlynn made her home with James and Sharon Withers in Luthersburg and is survived by her siblings Dorothy and JoJo Seyler as well as a special Cousin Alison Wineberg.   19. Glenn Franklin Wolfe, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on April 27th, 2024, in DuBois, Pennsylvania. He was born in Ebenezer, New York, on October 11th, 1935. Glenn’s life was marked by his Christian faith and love of family. Raised in East Brady, Pennsylvania, he inherited a strong work ethic and carpentry skills from his father, Frank Glenn Wolfe. His mother, Mary Ethel (Schaffner) Wolfe, instilled in him his discipline and values, taking him to church and piano lessons. As an East Brady 'Bulldog,' Glenn found joy in the high school band and basketball. During the Korean War, Glenn served his country as a United States Marine. He started his professional career as an engineer for Owens Illinois in Clarion. In 1957, he exchanged vows with his beloved Nancy Cochrane in East Brady, marking the beginning of a life together that spanned 66 years. Together, they raised two children, Pamela Russell (Andy) and Lynn McBride. Glenn moved his family to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1963. After a career at Harris Corporation, he started a new business designing computer circuit boards. For over 30 years, he remained an active member of First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale, playing piano for Sunday School and for the Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant. Glenn and Nancy also enjoyed their time playing tennis at Lago Mar Country Club in Plantation, Florida. In the early 2000s, Glenn and Nancy returned to Pennsylvania, settling in Treasure Lake, DuBois. They joined Treasure Lake Church, where Glenn continued to serve through his music and construction talents, enhancing the church and bringing joy to its members. His weekends were often spent volunteering at local nursing homes, playing piano for its residents or refurbishing antique train cars. Glenn and Nancy have been blessed with five grandchildren they love dearly: Mitchell, Sarah, Mary Kaitlyn, Hannah Aughenbaugh (Jesse) and Franklin, and one adored great grandson, Kael. Glenn's unwavering faith in Jesus Christ remained steadfast throughout his life. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nancy, and a legacy of faith, love, devotion and generosity which he practiced throughout his life with others. His was a life well-lived and deeply treasured. May Glenn’s memory continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. As per Glenn’s wishes there will be no public visitation and a celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.   20. Terry "Horty" Horton, 78, of DuBois, PA passed away surrounded by family on Monday, April 22, 2024. Terry grew up in East Smithfield, PA and attended S.R.U. High School where he set the all-time school scoring record in basketball. After high school, Terry attended Mansfield University on a baseball scholarship. Terry was a career educator starting as a teacher in Bradford County and eventually becoming the director of the Clearfield County Vocational Technical School. Terry was an avid golfer and hunter. He was happily married to his loving wife Jill and treasured both his time with family and his time in the woods in Bradford County. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. Terry was predeceased by his father J. T. Horton, and mother Wilma Horton. He is survived by his brother George Horton of Hamden, CT, his wife Jill Horton of DuBois, PA, his children Tamara Horton of Apex, NC, Amanda Horton of Winder, GA, and Scott Horton of Freehold, NJ. He has six grandchildren, Braden Miller, Christopher Miller, Jake Proctor, Niko Gittens, Jack Horton, and Theo Horton.   21. Gary W. Heitzenrater, age 75, of DuBois, PA, died Monday, April 22, 2024 at the H. John Heinz III Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA. Born on July 9, 1948 in Panic, PA, he was the son of the late Donald and Shirley (Guthrie) Heitzenrater. Gary was veteran of the United States Navy. On December 16, 1972 he married Linda L. (Yonkie) Heitzenrater. She preceded him in death on April 18, 2019. He retired from Keystone Carbon in St. Marys after 30 years of service. Gary was a member of First Baptist Church in DuBois, PA. He loved to mow his grass, his beagles "Brownie" and "Boone" and spending time with his grandson. Gary is survived by one daughter (Sherry Heitzenrater of DuBois, PA), two sons (John Heitzenrater of Weedville, PA and Gary Heitzenrater II and his wife Katie of Clarksville, TN), one grandson (Mason Morris of DuBois, PA), and one brother (Ralph Heitzenrater of Washington.   22. Victoria L. Kucharski, age 93 of DuBois, PA died Monday, April 22, 2024 at the home of her daughter in law in Punxsutawney, PA. Born on November 21, 1930 in Soldier, PA, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Lillian (Sherpenski) Rokosky. On November 5, 1948 she married John S. Kucharski, Sr. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2018. Vicky had worked at Brockway Glass and was well known for working at the Riverside-Bi Lo Bakery for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Vicky enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, word search games, and her daily "soaps". She is survived by her daughter in law (Linda Kucharski of Punxsutawney, PA) and one grandson (Michael J. Kucharski and his wife Megan of Punxsutawney, PA). Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons (Martin F. and John S. "Jack" Kucharski),and siblings, (Geraldine Varhol, Marjorie Lehner, Rose Marie "Tootie" Schimizzi, and Martin Rokosky). Vicky was the last remaining member of her immediate family.   23. John Yebernetsky, 91, of DuBois, PA died on Friday, April 19, 2024 at his home. Born on April 30, 1932 at home in Madera, he was the son of the late Wasco and Annie (Peslipsky) Yebernetsky. On May 16, 1959 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, PA John married the former Helen Priselac who survives along with their three children, Theresa (Jacques) Courtillet of Alexandria, VA, Carl (Lisa) Yebernetsky of DuBois, PA and Mary Jo Yebernetsky (Randy Orcutt) of Rockton, PA; five grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica) Yebernetsky, Andrew Courtillet, Molly Yebernetsky (Brad Dryer), Kevin Courtillet, and Katlyn (Eric) Routch; four great-grandchildren, Oaklyn, Henry, Laurel, and Brooks Yebernetsky; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was the last of his generation and was preceded in death by his siblings, Annie Daniels, Wasco “Lefty” Yebernetsky, Jr., Mary Fetchu, Mike Yebernetsky, George Yebernetsky, Kathryn Youhon, Eva Checkaneck, Nancy Wasilko, Harry Yebernetsky, and Margaret Kitko. He was a graduate Moshannon Joint High School, Madera, PA. Upon graduation, he attended Williamsport Technical Institute graduating with a degree in electrical service. John retired from Penelec in 1995 after 35 years of service as a lineman, then line clerk. He also previously worked at Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven. John was a Korean War Era veteran and served in the U.S. Army. He played the violin, starting at the age of five, and played many other instruments later in life including the mandolin, guitar, accordion, and banjo. He was in a band with his brother and neighbors, playing at school events, dances, and weddings. All of his brothers were in a band and often they would play together when they visited. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a member of the Olympic Club, DuBois. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, DuBois. Friends will be received on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.   24. Donald L. Patchell, age 94 of Russellville, AR, formerly of DuBois, PA, died Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the John L. McClellan Veterans’ Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Born on June 30, 1929 in Reynoldsville, PA, he was the son of the late Donald A. and Edythe G. (Motherwell) Patchell. Don was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War, and had been a member of the PA National Guard 28th Division. On June 23, 1957 he married his wife of 63 years, Jessie L. (Bundy) Patchell. She preceded him in death on June 16, 2020. Don worked as an inspector for Brockway Glass/Owens Brockway from 1953 until his retirement in1992. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and photography, especially nature and travel photography. He was an avid fan of the Pirates, Steelers, Pitt and Penn State. He also loved to travel. He and his wife had visited 47 states, 9 Canadian provinces, many European countries, and the Caribbean. Don is survived by two children; (Dr. Donald A. Patchell and his wife Dr. Heidi Dobish of Shepherdstown, WV and Cynthia Gearhart and her husband Chris of Russellville, AR), five grandchildren (Mabel and Max Patchell, Joseph Gearhart his wife Ashlyn, Alix Gearhart and Joshua Gearhart and his wife Brittany), two great grandchildren (Elijah and Emmett Gearhart), brother-in-law (Louis Showers) and brother and sister-in-law (Allen and Bernice Bundy), as well as many nieces and nephews.   25. Donald Joseph Kruk, Age 85 of DuBois died on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was born on February 9, 1939 in New Castle, PA, a son of the late Joseph V. Kruk and Sophia Buly Kruk. He married the love of his life, Mary F. "Polly" Hay on May 27, 1961 at Grace Episcopal Church in Ridgway, PA. She preceded him in death on June 27, 2022. Don graduated from DuBois Area High School in 1957 and attended the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana, Illinois, where he played football with such notables as Ray Nitschke of Green Bay Packer fame, Bill Brown of Minnesota Viking fame and Bobby Mitchell of Cleveland Brown fame. He then attended and graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business education in 1962. He served as a first lieutenant in the United States Army from November 1962 until November 1964 and then worked in public and corporate accounting for several years until he became a Certified Public Accountant in 1969. He then started his banking career working 33 years as V.P. and Controller for National Bank of the Commonwealth and Deposit Bank. Don was also employed as a commercial lender for Public Credit of Brockway, PA and most recently as V.P. of Commercial Lending for Northwest Savings Bank of Dubois, PA. He was also a life member of the Pennsylvania Institute and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He served as Director of Goodwill Industries of Northwestern PA for over 20 years holding the positions of President and Treasurer of the board. In addition, he was elected to the Board of Directors of Maple Avenue Hospital, and served on the merged Board of DRMC from 1985 until 2007. During that time, he held the positions of Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Building Committee and the Fund Development Committee. He also co-chaired two United Fund drives for the DuBois Area United Way. Don was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in DuBois, where he served on the vestry and held the position of Senior Warden during his tenure. Don is survived by his two daughters, Dr. Dawn Luvaas and her husband, Donald Weis of St. Marys, PA and Dr. Beth Jones and her husband Mark Jones of DuBois, PA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Scott Flick and his wife Jackie of New Columbia, PA, Dr. Sarah Flick and her fiancé Tarrell Morris of Mendon MA, and Deric Luvaas (Isabelle Pircio) of Munhall, PA and two great-grandchildren Donald and Dawson Flick. Don is also survived by three brothers, John E. Kruk and his wife Kay of Chantilly, Virginia, Greg Kruk, Esquire of DuBois, PA and Dr. Steve Kruk and his wife Rita of DuBois,PA and one sister Mary Siemucha of DuBois, PA.
