  1. James D. “JD” Lester, age 77 of Falls Creek, PA died Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on October 9, 1946 in Joplin, MO, he was the son of the late William and Doris (Kenny) Lester. JD was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. He had worked at Brockway Glass Company for 27 years. JD was a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post 17 where he had served as Past Commander and the Falls Creek Eagles Aerie 965. He is survived by his children (Joseph Lester and Laraine Kearney and her husband William both of Falls Creek, PA), six grandchildren (Kendra Swanson, Kimberly Kearney, Kolten Kearney, Karly Bottenhorn, Kasidie Kearney and Ian Lester), five great grandchildren and one sister (Leslie). JD was preceded in death by one brother (Mike) and one sister (Carol). There will be no public visitation and a private family funeral service will be held. Memorials may be placed with American Legion Post 17, 315 Liberty Boulevard, DuBois, PA 15801. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.   2. Susan M. (Cyphert) Lingenfelter, age 69 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on January 11, 1954 in Brookville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Geneva (Smith) Miller. Susan had worked as a nurse’s aide at Nelson’s Golden years for over 20 years. She had been a volunteer for the American Red Cross, enjoyed making afghans, reading and spending time with her family. She is survived by her two sons (David Miller and his wife Tammy of Brookville, PA and Donald Cyphert and his fiancé Morgan Scoggins of DuBois, PA), eight grandchildren (Abigale Tosh, Luke and Troy Miller, David Cyphert, Michael Murray, Leyla DeBlasio, Lauryn Kitchen and Isabella Lavelle), and three great grandchildren (Ella, Addie and Eli). Susan was preceded in death by one son (Michael Cyphert) and one brother (John Miller). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A private family service will be held. Interment will take place at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Nelson’s Golden Years Patient Activities, 137 Oklahoma Cemetary Road, DuBois, PA 15801.   3. Richard K.” Dick” Long, age 77, of Reynoldsville, PA died Thursday Dec. 9. 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on March 30, 1944 in Panic, PA, he was the son of the late Harry and Beulah (Dunmire) Long. On October 19, 1963 he married his wife of 58 years, Velma (Mottern) Long. She survives. Dick retired as a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, restoring tractors, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dick is also survived by his children (Brenda Town and her husband John of Brockway and Richard Long and his wife Jocelyn of Reynoldsville), four grandchildren (Brent Sprague, Haley-Deanne Town, Heath Long, and Richelle Long) and two great grandchildren (Makayla Town and Elise Sprague) and step great grandchildren (Chloe & Alexis Waclawik) and 1 brother. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. There will be no public visitation and a funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.   4. Bobby Roy Eary, Jr., age 61 of Beaver Falls, PA died Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at his home. Born on August 28, 1960 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Bobby Roy Eary, Sr. and Linda Miceli of DuBois, PA. His mother survives. Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division. He had worked for NBH Builders in Pittsburgh, PA. He is survived by 2 brothers (Laune Eary of Brockport, OH and Father Ross Miceli of Kersey, PA) and 2 sisters (Lisa McCarty of Elyria, OH and Delores Miceli of Brunswick, OH). There will be no public visitation and a funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with Father Ross Miceli officiating.
