  1. It is calming to know that others are having the same problems....the chippy's have eaten my zucchini seeds before they even germinate. The rain ruined the first planting of corn...and many of my flowers have not returned this year! I miss my moonflower!!!! On the other hand, my lettuce is going crazy......if the weather doesn't stay nice for a few days, so will I!!!!!!!!
  2. I brought my plant in from outside 3-4 weeks ago and it is blooming again. It is absolutely beautiful. I bought it in May of 07 at the BUDS plant sale....it was just a small start, it is now appros 5' high and it smells heavenly.
  3. I need another one. I re-potted mine and it withered up and died. Where can I get one?????
  4. Mine is just now beginning to get leaves. At least it didn't die over the winter.
  5. I would be happy to buy some from you. Last year I dug out the embankment in front of our house and I lost some flowers this winter. I want to fill in with ground cover....the more the better! Then my husband doesn't have to mow! You can PM me.
  6. As in the large "plant" that grows the huge white flowers and the spiny little balls of seeds. I have seeds for the vine that I will plant in front of my tree limbs around my porch......
  7. I will keep watching......keep me in mind if anyone has too many..just in case.
  8. When should we begin to see these little plants popping out of the ground? My plant was huge last year and I scattered all the seeds. The purple one my friend bought from Lavender didn't get as large, but I scattered those seeds as well...I am getting anxious for my flowers... I WANT THEM NOW!!!!!
  9. Now my plant is getting quite large...about 3-3 1/2 feet. I re-potted it Saturday. And that is from that small start last summer Petee....I re-potted the Passion Flower too... it has new shoots starting. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!
  10. The Brugmansia I bought at the plant sale last year is over 3' tall. Leaves are everywhere...and yes, it is up on the dining room bench to keep it away from the critters. When will I start to see leaves on my Wisteria???????? (Did I spell that right??? I am tired!)
  11. My canna's were regrettably left outside under my patio, they were rotten...uck... but I just started a couple hundred other seeds tonight...we'll see it they take. My Gerber Daisy's are sprouting, so are the Giant Marigolds..... My father-in-law is way ahead of me on the tomatoes though.
  12. Okay, now we have a new puppy romping through the house and I am going to have to stick this thing on the dining room table to keep her away from it ..she already tried to chew a passion flower leaf....nothing is sacred. I brought both of them in last fall and have tried to keep them alive! And, I don't want my dog to get sick!!! When is it going to get warm enough to put it (the plant, of course)outside??????????????? I want real spring..... I will just put the plants in the basement for now.
  13. Okay..I have a ton too. Just have to get in the shed!
  14. My daughter cut off a flower from her Gerber Daisy last fall and I put it in an envelope. Two weeks ago, I spread the entire flower in dirt to see what would happen....well.... if they keep growing, I will have many gerbers! Any suggestions??????? I love planting...thank you Petee and my dear friend Elizabeth for getting me hooked.
  15. The kitten only stays here when my daughter comes home from college. she did chew one leaf, but she seems to be fine. I will keep the plant away from the window ledge, where she sits, and the water bottle handy to spray the kitten if she goes near it when she it home again!
