The BUDS Gardeners are doing a major clean out of the perennial nursery bed. It will include all sorts of perennials, a few houseplants, odds and ends. We will dig a few new things, some small. Some plants will be rolled in newspaper ready to plant. There will be a lot of plants that were propagated this summer. Some tender plants will need stored for next spring. Peonies. Everything will need watered once and mulched.
This is a great time to plant as tops have almost stopped growing, roots will still grow to establish the plant, no watering, just wait to see what happens in the spring.
They will be taken to Charlie's Alternators on Wednesday for people to pick up and take home. Nothing is priced but donations will be appreciated. We reserve the right to limit quantities so everyone gets a share. Bring boxes to lug home treasures.
Take a stroll around the gardens while you're there. We will have BUDS gardeners and a Master Gardener table set up so you can ask questions about planting problems which will be researched and answers sent to you.
Try samples of hot cider and donuts.
