Become a Penn State Certified Master Gardener and work to help others with their gardening problems.
Master Gardener class will soon begin September 7 and occur every Thursday except holidays till March. They will be held at the Reynoldsville Foundry on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30.
The classes are taught by Penn State educators and cover Botany, Plant Propagation, Plant ID and Nomenclature, Soils and Fertilizers, Entomology, Plant Diagnostics, Plant Pathology, Pesticide Safety, Turfgrass Management, Vegetables, Tree Fruits. Small Fruits, Woody Ornamentals, Landscape Design, Pruning, Native Plants, Indoor Plants, Herbaceous Plants, and Weeds and Invasive Plants.
Individual classes may be taken for $25 a class or you may choose to become a Master Gardener and enjoy the entire group of classes for $175.00. To become a Certified Master Gardener you must also complete 50 hours of assistance to the Master Gardener program.
