Madere, Age 88 of South Ave., DuBois, PA died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on January 28, 1929 in DuBois, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Frank & Tessie (Davis) Aravich. On July 24, 1954, she married Henry Z. Madere, Jr. He survives. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War. Mary retired from the Brockway Glass Company after 18 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and was a charter member of Women in the Military. She is survived by 2 daughters; Marianne Atkinson & her husband Richard, and Antionette Vanderpool & her husband Gary, both of DuBois, PA ; a son Mark Madere & his wife Doreen of Cleveland, OH; a brother Robert Aravich of DuBois, PA; a sister Helen Kester of Seaford, VA; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 step grandchild. Mary was preceded in death by a sister (Marcella Paladino) and 4 brothers (Frank, Eugene, Joseph, & Vincent Aravich) Visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Memorials may be placed with DuBois Central Catholic, P.O. Box 567 DuBois, PA 15801 and the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214.
