Hallowell, Age 68, of Central Christian Road, DuBois, PA died Friday, October 20, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on September 28, 1949 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward & Gloria (Alexander) Nasuti. On July 8, 1967, she married David R. Hallowell. They celebrated 50 years of marriage this year. Kathy retired as the Assistant Manager at Matthews Hallmark at the DuBois Mall after many years of service. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and she enjoyed her grandchildren and following their many activities. Kathy was always ready for an adventure. If there was an empty seat; het butt was in it. She was the consummate party planner and holiday organizer. She loved celebrating family and friends and always remembered special days in their lives. She is survived by 2 children (Brenda L. Kunselman & husband Scott, and Bob D. Hallowell & wife Heather, both of DuBois, PA) 2 brothers (Ed Nasuti & wife Della, and Bill Nasuti & wife Barb, both of DuBois, PA) a sister (Jacque Boyles & husband Ronald of Clearfield, PA) and 4 grandchildren (Haley & Aliza Hallowell, and Courtney & Isaac Kunselman) Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Leon Blose officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery. Memorials may be placed with the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, C/O Honey Ann Hallowell, 62 Laurel Lane, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
