Allen, Age 76 of West Long Ave., DuBois, PA died Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA. Born on July 13, 1941 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Leo W. & Virginia D. (Copenhaver)Allen. He had worked at the Holiday Inn & Pizza Hut in DuBois for many years and had also worked custodial duties at St. Catherine’s Church. Artie was very active in church affairs throughout his life. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years. He was an officer & member of the former Ancient Order of Hibernians, and was a past member of the Blue Army & Legion of Mary. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 519 and was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus Assembly #2661. He is survived by a brother (Robert L Allen of Clearwater, FL), a sister (Judith Allen Stouffer of Brandon, FL)2 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great nephews, 2 great nieces. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 8:30 A.M.to 9:30A.M. from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer & Fr. Matias Quimno con celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery. Memorials may be placed with Christ the King Manor, 1100 West Long Ave. and/or St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 116 South State St., both in DuBois, PA 15801.
