Ross, Age 88, of DuBois, PA, formerly of Falls Creek, PA died on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA. Born on July 10, 1929 in Brockway, PA he is the son of the late Timothy and Angeline (Schiano) Ross. On May 27, 1957 he married Ethel I. “Pat” (Cocker) Ross, she preceded him in death on September 30, 2010. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Falls Creek High School. Joseph retired as a Deputy Constable for the Jefferson County Sherriff’s Department. He was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church and was a football official for many years in the youth and high school level in our area. He also enjoyed photography and was a HAM radio operator. He is survived by four children; Genetta Bailley and her husband Sam of Falls Creek, PA, Joseph J. Ross and his wife Cheryl of Brockway, PA, Patricia Newpher and her husband Louis of Reynoldsville, PA and Gina Ross of Largo, FL. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a brother Timothy Ross and his wife Karen of Falls Creek, PA. There is no public visitation and services will be held private by the family. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery in Falls Creek. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
