Ann R. (Biros) Gutoski, age 100, died on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA

She was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Paul J. Gutoski, whom she married in Sept. 1946, and by her grandson Paul G. Johnson.   As she now rests in God’s loving arms, Ann is reunited with her mother, Anna (Stefura) Biros/Duffalo, her fathers  Andrew Biros and Michael Duffalo, brothers Joseph “PeeWee” Biros and John, Joseph, and Carl Duffalo and sisters Mary Roseman and Genevieve Nadji, all of whom preceded her in death.

Ann enjoyed reading the local newspaper and welcomed news of eventsin the community.  She was a lifelong baseball fan, and through the years added basketball and football to her viewing list, only recently expanding her interests to include NASCAR. Well known for her cinnamon rolls, Ann excelled at baking.  She spent most of her summers helping her husband Paul tend his garden, and “canned” dozens of quarts of garden produce.

Ann was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society, and frequently provided authentic Polish cuisine to the church festival 

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Johnson of Pasadena MD,and Paula Noble of Norwood NC, her grandsons Marty and wife Johnda Noble, Jacob Noble, and granddaughter Ann and husband Mark Biehl,and four great granddaughters, Jillian and Jacy Noble, and Ava and Hazel Biehl. Also surviving are sister Margaret Carlson of DuBois, and brother James Duffalo of Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and admirers from the community, Christ the King Manor and Penn Highlands Hospice Care. 

Ann passes from this world while leaving a legacy of “living the Gospel message”:  Love one another as I have loved you. Care for one another as our Heavenly Father cares for you. 
 
Burial is private and services will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ann’s memory may be made to Christ the King Manor, 1100 W. Long Ave.; and/or St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 116South State St. DuBois PA; and/or Penn Highland Community Nurses/Hospice Care100 Hospital Ave., all of, DuBois PA  15801, and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital501 St. Jude Place Memphis TN 38105 (or online at stjude.org)
