Church Road, Brockport, PA died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway, PA. Born on January 28, 1928 in Ridgway, PA, he was the son of the late George & Marie (Wise) Johnson. He was married to Mildred E. (Lehman) Johnson. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2009. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. Richard retired as a union carpenter with Local 947 after 60 years of service. He is survived 2 sons (Jack E. Johnson & his wife Robin of Brockport, PA and George M. Johnson of Quarryville, PA.), 3 grandchildren (Josh, Justin, & Erica Johnson) and a great grandchild (James Johnson). He was preceded in death by his 2 sisters (Betty Erickson & Jean Wagner) and a daughter in law (Tammy Johnson). There will be no public visitation and private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery, Ridgway, PA. Memorials may be placed with Highland View Health Care, 90 Main St., Brockway, PA 15824. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc is in charge of arrangements.
