Administrators Pompeii Posted May 16, 2018 Administrators Share Posted May 16, 2018 Albert T. Masonis, Age 95, of Hibbard Road, DuBois, PA died on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his home. Born on March 1, 1923 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Vincent and Caroline (Ptashauskas) Masonis. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. Albert retired from Triangle Auto Springs after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He loved his dog, Lizzie. Albert is survived by his son, Joseph E. Masonis of Penfield, PA; a daughter, Dorothy J. Storbakken & her husband Gene of Williston, ND; his brother, Edward Masonis of Elyria, OH; 6 grandchildren, John, Jr., Michele, Joseph, Jr., Kimberly, Jamey & Lani; 9 great grandchildren and three great- great grandchild. He is also survived by his long-time friend, Karen Nebgen of DuBois, PA. He was preceded in death by is wife (Frances (Pierce) Masonis; a son (Bernard Masonis) and a daughter (Frances Gula). There will be no public visitation. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10 AM from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
