Lepionka, age 68, of East Park Avenue, DuBois, PA died on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Altoona. Born on September 18, 1950 in Plymouth, IN, she was the daughter of the late Leland G. and Sarah E. Sterling Ross. On September 25, 1971 she married Michael F. Lepionka. He survives. Karen retired from the DuBois Area School District as an administrative assistant after 17 years of services. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she was active in the folk group. She enjoyed her family and following them in their many activities. Karen is survived by 3 children; Michelle Snyder & her husband Daniel, Danielle Rake & her husband Jason and Keith Lepionka & his wife Meggie all of DuBois, PA and 9 grandchildren; Sarah & Allie Snyder, Hannah, Kyle, Justin & Katelynn Rake and Lizzie, Lainey & Lucas Lepionka. She was preceded in death by her brother (Robert Ross). Visitation will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10 AM from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorials may be placed with St. Michael Folk Group, c/o Laurie Fitzer, 412 South Main Street, DuBois, PA 15801.
