Ronald L. Scull, Age 87 formerly of Wood St., DuBois, PA died Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Christ the King Manor.

Born on March 7, 1931 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Kirby & Isabelle (Reed) Scull.

On December 29, 1951, he married his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Hoskavich Scull.  She survives.

Ron was a veteran of the United States Army.

Ron worked as a carman for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad for 28 years.  After closing the railroad shop in DuBois, he went on to work 15 years at RESCAR Inc. until his retirement in 1993.

He was an avid woodworker and spent countless hours in his work shop making beautiful keepsakes for his family and friends.

Ron is survived by 3 daughters (Bridget Rubritz & her husband Tom of DuBois, PA; Diana Pifer of Pittsburgh, PA; and Patty Bernardo & her husband Rick of DuBois, PA) a brother (John Scull & his wife Norma of DuBois, PA) 3 sisters (Ethel Seary & her husband Jiggs of DuBois, PA; Audrey Pearson of Pleasantville, PA; and Janet Shaffer of Morrisville, PA)6 grandchildren (Brooke Tarcson & her husband John; Tommy Rubritz & his wife Julie; Andy Pifer; Nate Bernardo & his wife Lindsey; and Larissa & Kaylee Bernardo). and 8 great grandchildren (Isabel, Emma, Juli, & Lily Tarcson; Adam & Charlotte Rubritz; and Bentley & Lincoln Bernardo).

He was preceded in death by his son in law (Glenn Pifer) a brother (Howard Scull) and4 sisters (Eileen Boddorf; Emma Weir; Imogene Murray, and Dorothy Jane Scull). 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.

Memorials may be placed with Christ the King Manor, 1100 West Long Ave. and/or St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 116 South State St., both in DuBois, PA 15801.
