Administrators Pompeii Posted December 12, 2018 Administrators Share Posted December 12, 2018 Maureen Hassan Sayers, Age 88, of DuBois, PA, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Christ the King Manor. Born on September 5, 1930 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guy W. & Nellie (Aaron) Hassan. On August 30, 1950, she married Blake L. "Mont" Sayers. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1996. Maureen was a homemaker & retired from the DuBois Public Library as a library aide. She was a life-long member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and was an avid reader. Maureen loved to entertain and spend time with her family, friends and especially, her grandchildren. She is survived by three children (The Reverend B. LaMounte Sayers of Clarion, PA; Susan Miller & her husband Mark of Archbold, OH; and Andrew Sayers & his wife Mary Mike of DuBois, PA) 10 grandchildren (Joshua, Christopher, Meghan, Timothy, Katie, Kelly, Benjamin, Patrick, Daniel, and Tessa), one great grandchild and two on the way. She was preceded in death by her son (Guy Scott Sayers) and a brother (William Hassan). Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A scriptural wake service will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with her son, Fr. Monty Sayers and Msgr. Richard Siefer con celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be placed with the DuBois Public Library, 31 South Brady St., DuBois, PA 15801 and/or a library in your community.
