Administrators Pompeii Posted December 19, 2020 Administrators Share Posted December 19, 2020 Mary Elizabeth “Bizz” Corby, age 74 of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, OH. Born on July 12, 1946 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Mary (Michel) Hassan. She was a graduate of DuBois Central Catholic High School and the DuBois Business College. On August 27, 1966 she married her husband of 54 years, James A. Corby. He survives. Bizz had worked as a secretary at the Boy Scouts of America Service Center for many years. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. Bizz was an avid Pittsburgh Panther, Steeler, Pirate and Penguin fan and loved her pets. She enjoyed embroidery and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son (James H. Corby & his wife Robyn of DuBois, PA), 5 grandchildren; (Damon and Kaitlyn Corby and Kalley, Kolby and Klay Hendricks) and 1 brother (Joseph M. Hassan & his wife Loretta of DuBois, PA). Due to our current circumstances, a private family visitation and funeral service were held from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating. Burial was in St. Catherine Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
