Administrators Pompeii Posted April 23, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 23, 2022 Sarah Ellen Jones, Age 88 of Falls Creek, PA died Friday, April 22, 2022 at Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital. Born on May 14, 1933 in Sherbrooke, Quebec Canada, she was the daughter of the late James & Mary Ann Davidson Jones. Ellen retired from Glick’s Shoes in Downtown DuBois as the store manager after many years of service. Previous to Glick’s, she had worked at Con Allen’s Shoes. She was a charter member of the former Falls Creek Women’s Club, and was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church where she was previously very active in church affairs. Ellen was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, and in her later years, word search puzzles. Ellen is survived by 2 sisters (Jeanne Britton of Falls Creek, PA and Margaret Kengersky of DuBois, PA), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother (Arthur Jones & his wife Barbara), 2 brothers in law (Edward “Whitey” Kengersky and John Britton), and a niece (Brenda Cessna). There will be no public visitation and all service will be private. Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
