Richard M.” Dick” Hockman, age 89 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.


Born on June 16, 1932 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Elmer K. and Jean (Moore) Hockman.


On August 22, 1953 he married his wife of 68 years, Carole (Loughman) Hockman. She survives.


He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War.


Dick retired as the President of Brockway Pressed Metals after 40 years of service with the company.


He was a member of APMI International, a Global Professional Society for Powder Metallurgy, and was an amateur radio operator, call sign K3LIX. Dick also enjoyed golfing and hunting.


He is survived by one son (Richard “Blaine” Hockman and his wife Vickie of DuBois, PA), one grandson (Keif Richard Hockman), three step grandchildren (Douglas, Ben & Zachary Means), one step great grandson (Benjamin Means, Jr.) and one sister (Susan Robb & her husband Bill of Raleigh, NC).


He was preceded in death by one brother (John Hockman).


There will be no public visitation.


A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 11 AM from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Terry Felt officiating. Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the funeral home.


Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.


Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
