(Reitz) Wingard, age 79 of Lynchburg, VA, formerly of DuBois, PA died Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. Born on July 10, 1943 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Mary E. (Weaver) Reitz. On July 15, 1967 she married Merle K. Wingard. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1999. Carol had been a partner in Wingard & Wingard Associates, LLC. She is survived by her three children; Barry L. Wingard Ph.D., Jamie K. Wingard and his wife Judith L., and Hayley S. Wingard, four grandchildren; Kayla Yoder and her husband Clayton, Lindsey Stump, Kaytlynn Wingard and Silas Wingard, a sister; Beverly Reagle, a brother; Thomas Reitz and his wife Debbie, and a sister- in-law Edie Reitz. Carol was preceded in death by brothers; Daniel and Donnie Reitz and brother-in-law; Carl Reagle. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 2 -4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. Additional visitation will be held at Temple Baptist Church, on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 10 AM until 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM from the church with Pastor Kevin Orndorff officiating. Burial will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery.
