Snyder, Age 81 of Reynoldsville, PA (Smithtown area), died Monday, September 5, 2022 at her home. Born on November 22, 1940 in Helvetia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Bertha (Proske) Clinchoc. She was married to Harry J. “Butch” Snyder. He preceded her in death in 1999. Sylvia retired from Big Lots after eight years of service. Previous to that she had worked at Ames Department Store for many years. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in DuBois. Sylvia enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She also enjoyed macrame and ceramics. She also owned and operated her own craft store. Sylvia is survived by two daughters, (Sharon Withers & her husband James of Luthersburg, PA; Jacqueline McDonald and Timothy Spears of Palmetto, FL), a daughter in law (Debra Snyder of Reynoldsville, PA) 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a sister (Donna Buzzard of Spring Church, PA). She was preceded in death by her son (James Snyder), a brother, and two sisters. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
