Margaret M. Osburn, age 88 of DuBois, PA, formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, died Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Christ the King Manor.

 

Born on September 16, 1934 in DuBois, PA , she was the daughter of the late Oliver H. & Margaret M. (Lee) Snyder.

 

On September 5, 1954 she married her husband , James S. “Sherm” Osburn, Jr. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2013.

 

Margaret worked alongside of her husband Sherm at Osburn Buick Pontiac GMC Truck for many years.

 

She was a past member of the Lakeside United Methodist church in DuBois where she had been a member of the choir, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ft. Lauderdale where she was active in the church’s Christmas pageant for 30 years. Margaret was an avid reader, sports fan, and enjoyed Penn State Football.  Above all, she loved being with her family and following their many activities.

 

Margaret is survived by her children; Jeffrey S. Osburn and his wife Fran and Lisa Wyant and her husband Bill  both of DuBois, PA, a daughter-in-law, Penny Osburn of Sarasota, FL, eleven grandchildren, Douglas & Jody Manners, Jason Osburn, Bailey Calderon, Jennifer & Joshua Cribbs, Jenifer Spicher, Jodi Burkett, Rebecca Pochiba, James Osburn, IV, and Sarah Lord, as well as numerous great grandchildren.

 

Along with her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by one son, James S. “Jamie” Osburn, III and a brother, Oliver Snyder.

 

 Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Brett Dinger officiating.

 

Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.

 

Although flowers and memorials are appreciated, the family would rather that you honor Margaret’s memory by simply doing something kind for someone or make their day better in some way.
