Administrators Pompeii Posted April 28, 2023 Administrators Share Posted April 28, 2023 Dorothy M. Hendricks, age 83 of Rockton, PA died Thursday, April 27, 2023 at her home. Born on July 6, 1939 in Coalport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Ruth (Bloom) Swauger. On May 14, 1957, she married Daniel E. Hendricks. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2015. Dorothy had worked at Rola Jensen and Foodland and then worked until her retirement at DuBois Deposit Bank. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rockton, PA. Dorothy is survived by her children (Richard E. Hendricks, Jeffrey D. Hendricks and his wife Brenda and Daniel D Hendricks, all of Rockton, PA) eight grandchildren (Melissa, Jessica, Jordan, Lauren, Amanda, Ashley, Mary Beth and Sarah), thirteen great grandchildren, two brothers (Thomas Swauger and his wife Nancy of DuBois, PA and Robert Swauger of Falls Creek, PA) and two sisters (Carol Cloak of DuBois, PA and Nancy Murray and her husband John of Duncannon, PA). She was preceded in death by two brothers (David and James Swauger). Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 4 PM – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Robert Way officiating. Burial will follow in Rockton Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to any cancer organization of your choice.
