Administrators Pompeii Posted May 1, 2023 Administrators Share Posted May 1, 2023 Emily D. Fairman, age 80 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on December 12, 1942 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth A. and Thelma (Mann) Shaw. On April 21, 1961 she married William S. Fairman, III. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2015. She was a graduate of the DuBois Business College. Emily, along with her husband Bill, owned and operated Fairman Farm in DuBois for over 60 years. Fairman’s was well-known throughout the area for their famous sweet corn and Farm Market. Emily loved to meet her customers both new and old and always greeted them with a friendly smile and conversation. She also helped many in our community thru the Farm Market. Emily is survived by 3 sons (Scott Fairman and his wife Gail; Rod Fairman and his wife Lesley; and Shawn Fairman and Paula Zameroski, all of DuBois, PA) six grandchildren (Kayla Horting, Kaitlyn Grim, Scott C. Fairman, Dr. Jordan Fairman, VMD and Austin and Landon Fairman), nine great grandchildren (Madison, Caden and Hadley Horting, Kolton and Kinleigh Grim, and Lane, Landry, Lorelai and Lyla Fairman), and one sister (Anne Shaw of Sharon, PA). There will be no public visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
