Concerned residents in Luzerne County have been reporting a white-tailed deer, in the area of Huntington Township, to the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The deer had a large white object stuck around it’s neck.

On Friday, July 21, State Game Wardens Jared Turner and Jake Klinger located the deer near Shickshinny. Fortunately, they were able to tranquillize the deer and remove the feeder from it’s neck. It was then released alive, happy and healthy.

Special thanks to Frank DiPino, Huntington Township, for taking these photos and sharing them with us.

Shout out to SGWs Turner and Klinger for helping this deer out and improving its quality of life.
