Administrators Pompeii Posted August 16, 2023 Administrators Share Posted August 16, 2023 Apryl M. Pernesky, Age 68 of Falls Creek, PA died suddenly on Monday, August 14, 2023 at her home. Born on May 17, 1955 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late William E. “Red” and Doris L. (Marshall) Shaffer. On December 10, 1971, she married Edward Pernesky. He survives. Apryl had worked as a Licensed Insurance Agent for Swift Kennedy & Company for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church. Apryl loved watching “Days of Our Lives”, enjoyed reading and was an avid Steeler fan. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, (Edward W. Pernesky and his wife, Deanna of Irvine, CA, and Matthew J. Pernesky and his wife, Tracy of Austin, TX), her grandchildren, (Bryce Pernesky, Haley Pernesky, Madison Pernesky, and Keli Cropley), great grandchildren (Dustin and Maverick Cropley),a brother (Mark Shaffer and his wife, Patricia of DuBois, PA), a sister (Laura Foltz and her husband, Steve of Eighty-Four, PA), and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her two brothers (Robert & William Shaffer) Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 5 PM – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 10 a.m. from St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery. Memorials may be placed with St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, 205 Taylor Avenue, Falls Creek, PA 15840.
