Administrators Pompeii Posted September 1, 2023 Administrators Share Posted September 1, 2023 Robert C. “Buzz” Hudock, age 73 of DuBois, PA passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023. He was the son of Carl Hudock and Agnes Meko Hudock, who preceded him in death. He is survived by a brother, James “Jim” Paul Hudock of Folsom, California. Buzz was born on January 9, 1950 in the Punxsutawney area and moved to Reynoldsville at a young age. He attended grade school in Reynoldsville and graduated from the DuBois Area High School. Buzz worked as a laborer and truck driver for a paving company for several years. He then attended DuBois School of Trades and studied electrical construction. Upon graduating he became an instructor and recruiter at the school. As a recruiter he visited many high schools in western PA. After leaving the school, he owned and operated Hudock Electric. He then joined the electrical union where he was an electrician and superintendent working for various companies. He also worked for Hallstrom Electric. Buzz enjoyed jogging, biking, hunting, fly fishing, travel and photography. He particularly enjoyed baseball. He started at Reynoldsville Little League, then played for the Hormtown Nationals and then the DuBois Rockets in the federation league where he was a pitcher. He greatly admired Sparky Lyle. He was very interested in local history and after his retirement he donated his time to the Reynoldsville Historical Society. Buzz served on the board of directors and designed and installed the electrical system in the ongoing renovations of the historical society building in Reynoldsville. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Father Ben Daghir officiating.
