Administrators Pompeii Posted September 18, 2023 Administrators Share Posted September 18, 2023 LaVerne D. Muth, age 91 of DuBois, PA died Monday, September 18, 2023 at Christ the King Manor. Born on April 16, 1932 in Helvetia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis Edward and Mary (Sulin) Barabas. On August 16, 1952 she married Keith Duane Muth. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2001. LaVerne was a 1950 graduate of Brady High School. She loved to dance and she loved country and polka music. She is survived by her children (Keith L. Muth and his wife Francine of Midlothian, VA and Kevin D. Muth and his wife Lisa of Gainesville, FL, her grandchildren (Keith, Christopher and Trevor Muth and Molly Lamar) and great grandchildren (Charles, Henry and Thomas Muth). LaVerne was preceded in death by three sisters (Frances Bruzga, Mary Szymanski and Josephine Paterek) and one brother (Edward Barabas). There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 10:30 AM from the chapel at Christ the King Manor with Father Matias Quimno as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Christ the King Manor, 1100 West Long Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.
